The new family-friendly North Pointe Community Center in Miami-Dade County, FL., is a great place to go for a family day out with the kids. With a wide range of activities on offer, including a massive splash playground with slides, jets, water cannons and rain curtains it's a great place to cool off! It also has a leisure pool for actual swimming if you get tired of just splashing, and a huge swimming complex with showers and public lockers, and a snack bar, for when you need to recharge after all that fun in the water.

The  North Pointe Community Center also has a facility with cardio equipment such as exercise bikes and areas designated for group exercise, like yoga and other group workout activities. And while you're getting into shape, you can drop the kids off at any of the many spaces used for art workshops, music studios and other cultural activities, including music lessons and other instructional activities, so they'll be benefiting, too. The variety on offer makes it perfect for families of all ages and sizes, with something to do for everyone. For example, if your kids aren't the artsy type, there are also outdoor areas where they can check out walking paths and play safely away from busy roads. And afterwards, you can all meet up at one of two picnic shelters for an idyllic lunch in the sun.

If you have a talent, like sculpture, music or any other art form, that you're dying to share with others you may be able to rent out one of the center's spaces to give your own lessons and share your talents with your community.

There also areas available for hire to community groups and homeowner associations (and other groups, too) for meetings and events. Don't worry about getting here!
