C.B. (Charlie Barney) Smith Park is one of the most popular public county parks in Broward.  It is located in the southwestern city of Pembroke Pines on a 299-acres plot of land.  C.B. Smith is chock full of wonderful recreation opportunities from the spacious Paradise Cove water park to golf and much more.  The park offers use of the following spaces for a fee:  two corporate pavilions (capacity 350 to 500 each), a meeting cabin (300), five extra-large shelters (80-160), six large shelters (45-80), and nine medium shelters (30-45).  C.B. Smith is a great place for community events, parties and family reunions!

The All Golf Facility at C.B. Smith Park is touted as a place where "everyone" can come and enjoy the sport of golf.  Open daily until 10pm, the facility features double tier driving range stalls, grass & mat tees, lights for nighttime play.  There is a space for a short game and you can schedule PGA lessons.  The same facility has variable-speed batting cages and 2 18-hole miniature golf courses. They are also lighted and open into the evening.  This facility hosts birthday parties, call 954-441-1333 to reserve.

Paradise Cove Water Park is a seasonal feature at CB Smith Park that is generally open from March to October.  Admission deals can be had by either purchasing a seasonal Pass from the county or coming in late afternoon.  Paradise Cove includes some truly exhilarating play areas: Parrot's Point, a 12-inch-deep pool with two small waterslides and other interactive play elements designed for ages 5 and under; Sharky's Lagoon, an 18-inch-deep pool with three waterslides (83, 98, and 125 feet long) and other interactive play elements; Crazy Creek, a 410-foot-long meandering tube ride with interactive play elements along the route.  A brand new set of 4 curley-que tall waterslides are being installed and will be called the "Paradise Pipeline".  The Paradise Cove Water Park has funbrellas for rent and onsite concessions.  You may bring in your own cooler, but no glass or alcohol is permitted. 

Aside from these big draws at the park, there are the standard fare of picnic tables, playgrounds, basketball courts, a tennis center, volleyball, horsehoes, fishing, and a bike rental with trails.  If you are into boating, there are canoes, johnboats and paddleboats available for rental to explore the park's 80 acres of lakes.

The park plays host to a major country music event at it's very own 5,000-capacity open air Amphitheater on a 5 acre island inside the park!  The 99.9 KISS Country Chili Cookoff event pulls in a crowd and is a favorite springtime event.  

If you think you couldn't possibly squeeze all there is to do at C.B. Smith into 1 day, think about camping at the park and making a weekend of it!  The park's lakeside campground is equipped with 71 RV sites, all with electricity, water, picnic tables, grills, and sewer hookups. There are also heated showers, a laundry facility, and restrooms in the campground area. If you are a resident of the tri-county area (Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach) you can reserve at a reduced rate.  A group camping site is also available.  Pets are welcome but need to be registered.
