In a remarkable global race with 35 simultaneous starts and no set finish line, the world will run once again on May 8, 2016. In races across six continents, runners will attempt to stay ahead of pursuing ‘catcher cars’ driven to chase and overpass them. Produced by Red Bull in partnership with the Wings for Life Foundation, this innovative worldwide race with a “moving finish line” was first held in May 2014 to benefit spinal cord injury research - with the goal to find a cure - and more than $4.1 million was raised in its inaugural year.

Moms, Dads, grandparents, friends, aunties and uncles grab a pair of stilettos and race to help the Delray Beach Achievement Centers for Children & Families.  This local non-profit organization helps meet the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of about 700 children who need them most while helping their low-income families attain stability.

Support a wonderful cause and enjoy some adult time at the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove for the Footprints Foundation annual Jazz Literary Brunch.  Join advocates, artists, authors and local philanthropists during this four hour event.

The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation invites you to a Funtastic Family Festival Saturday, September 6th from 4-8 pm at the Fountains Center located at 7000 W. Camino Real Boca Raton (on Powerline, just south of Palmetto).  Tickets are $10 a person, and children under the age of two are free.  All activities are included with the price of admission (only food and beverages are an additional charge).

Do you love to fish and love children?  Come out to the Upper Keys for this wonderful "Backcountry Challenge" benefitting Take Stock in Children Scholarships and local Rotary student scholarships.  Hosted by Key Largo Rotary Club this will be a catch--take big cheesy grin photos--then release event. This year's theme is "Be a Gift to the World".

Celebrate Florida's wildlife at this beachside festival in Curry Hammock State Park.  The Friends of Islamorada Area State Parks is hosting a full day of activities appropriate for the entire family at the Wildlife Festival from 10 a.m. to  3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.  Bring your lawn chair, beach towels and spend the day!  This festival is part of the 2014 Florida Keys Birding and Wildlife Festival that will run through the weekend with other field trips and seminars.

Join Hawk's Cay Resort in gorgeous Duck Key on Labor Day weekend for a family-fun filled weekend.  The resort has planned so much to do from a scrumptious BBQ to a Heroes Run to help celebrate and honor all brave men and women of service: current and former members of the military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, sworn officers and medical personnel.
