Amelia Earhart Park in Miami-Dade County is one of the largest parks in the city of Hialeah, with many activities for the entire family at this beautiful, 515 acre park with 5 lakes. Read this article about the NEW 2015 renovation of the playground into "Tom Sawyer's Island" play area! This whimsical, natural and exciting new playground will definitely keep the kids occupied and off the ipad!
The amenities at this park are endless:
Wakeboarding- 20 minute Tube Rides, a 2-seater coach, and 3 riders for an 1 hour where the Coach rides beside you behind the boat. A neat feature of this park is the Farm Village. The Bill Graham Farm Village is a farm replica that was created to teach urbanized children about Miami Dade's agricultural past. There is a demonstration barn where you can watch horse shoeing, cow milking, and sheep shearing. There is a petting zoo, pony ring and a sugarcane press. There are pony rides available for a small charge on the weekends. Next to the barn is a working country store and a museum full of insects! This is a fun and exciting hands on learning environment.
From the children to the outdoor adventurer, water sports fans, and even your four legged friends, there is something for everyone to participate in at this park.
The park is located at 401 E 65 Street, Hialeah, Miami, FL
