City of Fort Lauderdale Memorial Day
The City of Fort Lauderdale would like to invite the public to their free ceremony honoring fallen soldiers on Memorial Day. There will be live music from the American Legion Symphonic Band, a tolling ofthe boats, pipe and drum corps, a dove release, parade of colors and a wreath placement at the Memorial Park Cemetary on SW 4th Avenue. The Keynote Speaker will be Veteran Sergeant First Class Jose A. NEgron Jr.

Earth Day at Legion Park
Earth Day @ Legion Park – Saturday, April 23rd
What to know before you go:
• The Upper Eastside Farmers Market will feature even more great vendors at the event and will continue until 3:00 PM.
• VolunteerCleanUp.org will be hosting shoreline clean ups every half hour beginning at 1:00 PM. (1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM). Please wear closed toed shoes and sign the waiver.
• All homeowner associations will have a table. If you would like to volunteer at your neighborhood’s table, let them know.

Fishing Derby & Breakfast
Come out to Zoo Miami, enjoy some breakfast, help catch INVASIVE fish from their lakes!
Removing invasive fish species helps improve habitat quality and creates room for native fish and wildlife. Zoo Miami provide the rods and bait, you reel 'em in! The family that catches the largest fish will win a behind-the-scenes experience in our Amazon and Beyond exhibit!

Annual Waterway Clean-up
The Town of Davie and the Central Broward Water Control District welcomes you to participate in the 20th Annual Waterway Clean-up, a public awareness campaign to keep our waterways clean. This event will take place on April 16, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. along the C-11 Canal, between State Road 7 and Flamingo Road, in Davie. Be sure to pack your SWIMWEAR and enjoy the after party to thank you for all your hard work!

Mother's Day Tea at the Gardens
Spoil mom with a gorgeous tea at the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in Miami this year.
Join all the mothers on the Veranda and in the Ballroom of the Jean Ellen DuPont Shehan Visitor Center as we celebrate mothers and grandmothers with a lovely Afternoon Tea. Guests will be treated to scones, savories and desserts served by delightful garden volunteers while enjoying live music.
Tea service begins at 3:00 p.m.
Cost per person is $27 for members, $37 for non-members and $17 for children 12 and under.

Celebrate Earth & Arbor Day with the city of Deerfield Beach this year. The event will take place on April 29th from 1 pm - 5 pm. at Pioneer Park.

Hialeah EggStravaganza
The Hialeah Eggtravaganza has one of the largest egg hunts in the nation with 50,000 eggs to find. Kids have a blast hunting eggs, riding carnival rides, and burning off the sugar in bounce houses. The Kid Zone will also have face painting and other activities. Local kids groups dance and do other performances making this a special local community event. Check out their recap video from their 2015 event on Youtube. The event is held at the city's Goodlet Park on April 15th.
