Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society
Palm Beach Zoo is a 23 acres attraction located in the northern end of Dreher Park just east of I-95. The Palm Beach Zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It features over 800 species of animals mostly in open natural habitats. See some exotic animals such as the koala, wallabies, and albino alligator and learn about their nature. Peacocks and butterflies roam or float thru parts of the zoo as well as native Florida birds attracted by its lush flora and fauna. The kids enjoy the unique carousel critters and playing in the centrally located splash pad. Be sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel in case the children want to play. There are several popular shows during the day that feature the zoos animals. Their Wings over the Water show with birds of prey is always a highlight. The cafe features indoor and outdoor dining with kid-friendly foods.
Family-friendly events held at the zoo include: Boo at the Zoo, Safari Nights, the green market, Breakfast with the Bunny and many conservation education days throughout the year.
