McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary
McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is a number one visitor attraction in the West Palm Beach area. As the name implies, the Sanctuary is first and foremost a working wildlife rescue facility. It is a non-profit, and fully licensed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Every year it rehabilitates hundreds of injured animals brought to it by game officers and members of the public. It brings the animals back to health and releases them into the wild.

Sawgrass Recreation Park in Weston is a wildlife adventure park that features airboat rides, wildlife encounters and exhibits. Venture out in the the Everglades and get a taste of a true Florida experience. Learn about the Everglades ecosystem and even some history of The Everglades. See exotic native animals up close and watch an interpretive talk about the critters. In the Reptile Exhibit watch an alligator handler show the power of the gator or allow your little one to hold a baby alligator!

Zoological Wildlife Foundation

Spread over an area of 5 acres, the zoo houses a range of animals including African lions, Amur leopards, Brown lemur, prairie dogs, servals, bengal tigers among several other rare and exotic species. In addition, the zoo plays host to a substantial number of birds and reptiles.

Loxahatchee River Environmental Center
The Loxahatchee River Environmental Center in Jupiter Florida, or River Center as it’s more commonly known, opened in August 2008. The River Center has become a favorite of locals and tourists alike, many of whom are interested in wildlife and river conservation. It has hosted over 130,000 visitors, 20,000 students and hundreds of Scouts!
Flamingo Gardens
There is a spot in Davie, Florida, part of Broward County, that is a beautiful, colorful, great place for families to visit. The Flamingo Gardens is a botanical garden featuring over 3000 species of rare, exotic, tropical, subtropical, and native plants and trees. There is also an Everglades wildlife sanctuary that houses Florida's largest collection of native animals including alligators, bobcats, eagles, panthers, peacock, otters and flamingos.
