Often called The Arsht Center, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is the largest performing arts center in Florida. It is located along Biscayne Boulevard, Omni, downtown Miami. It was constructed in 1929 in an Art Deco style building that pioneered Art Deco designed hotels in Ocean Drive.

The mission of the center is based solely to help the community to feature some of the local and world artists from various music genres. The Arsht Center is known to present world class performances, has a community resource accessible to the visitors that can help educate children and adults alike. It hosts almost 400 performances annually, and around 85% of these events are organized by the center itself. The Miami City Ballet, Florida Grand Opera, and Orchestral Academy of America are internationally acclaimed companies that are residents of the center and play performances at the center as well; a heavenly treat for classical music and contemporary art performance addicts. There are also numerous community based programs offered by the center aiming to be as accessible as possible to many local residents such as Free Sunday Gospel and Family Fest.

Not only is the center perfect for people who love music, it can also be a good place to admire the incredible architecture and design of the building itself.  The Adrienne Arsht Center contains three state of the art theaters. The 2,400 seat Ziff Ballet Opera House is perfect for ballet, Broadway, orchestra, and opera productions. The Carnival Studio Theater incorporated with the Thomson Plaza is ideal for outdoor gatherings and performances. The 2,200 seat Knight Concert Hall is best for concerts and also perfectly designed for outdoor stage entertainment like Carnival Studio. It can also hold other social gatherings such as wedding receptions, company anniversary, corporate meetings, annual conventions, and even a birthday party.

Please note that the Arsht center recommends their events for children age 6 and up. Every Saturday and Monday at noon the Arsht Center offers free behind-the-scenes tours. There is ample parking surrounding the theater and valet is available. Tickets for upcoming events may be purchased through the Center's website.  There are 2 wonderful restaurants located on site open surrounding performances.
