The Highland Oaks Park in the northern Miami-Dade County houses one of the last remaining freshwater wetlands located at the headwaters of the renowned Oleta River. Landscapers created three native habitats to the park: Dry prairie, mesic flatwoods, and hammock using plants native to the area. There is also a small parking lot for your car and shaded seating locations where you can watch your dog play around. After your dog is done playing, you can take it to a wash station for a cleanup.
