Join Hawk's Cay Resort in gorgeous Duck Key on Labor Day weekend for a family-fun filled weekend.  The resort has planned so much to do from a scrumptious BBQ to a Heroes Run to help celebrate and honor all brave men and women of service: current and former members of the military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, sworn officers and medical personnel.

Even a fit family enjoys endulging in a little bacon!  Come out to Oleta River State Park in Miami for this unique event the entire family can enjoy.  Kids can participate in a 1 mile Bacon Dash or participate with the adults to complete a 5K RUN/WALK…WITH FREE BACON!!  All kids in the Bacon Dash receive a t-shirt and medal.  Get up early and get your bacon on!

Battle in the Bay Dragon Boat Festival will be held at Sombrero Beach in Marathon on May 14th!  Come and enjoy the spectacle of these long Dragon boats with both corporate and community teams at the helm.  There will also be competitors from recreational and professional "club" teams from the Southeastern United States.  This annual event allows for just about ANYONE to participate. 

Saturday June 10th the Florida Keys Community College will host a Swim Around Key West race starting at Higgs Beach on the island of Key West.  This 12.5 mile swim will begin at the park's marina and circumnavigate the island in a clockwise direction. Swimmers will swim toward the Key West Harbor, through Fleming Key Channel, around Sigsbee toward Cow Key Bridge and back toward the Atlantic Ocean back to Bertha Street for the finish.

Bring your family out to the exciting Dragon Boat Festival (龍 船 賽) held at the Miami Haulover Beach Park MARINA.  This national festival traces its history back to China over 200 years ago. Dragon Boat racing is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Come see what all of the excitement is about and snap photos of the ornate boats.  

Cuba Nostalgia is a celebration of all things Cuban.  The event at the Fair Expo in Miami will be a cornucopia of food, jewelry, music, books and more all aimed at recreating a piece of Cuba here in South Florida.  Whether you are a Cuban transplant looking to relive a bit of your Cuban past or you are just enthralled by the Cuban culture and want to see more, Cuba Nostalgia is a large event with something for everyone.  The 2015 eventhonoredthe internationally famous Celia Cruz, known as the Queen of Salsa.

The 64th Annual David Deal Playday event in Fort Lauderdale consists of multiple events that usually stretch from the end of July to the first part of August.  This year's event will run from August 7th thru the 15th 2015.

Key Largo Merchants Association hosts this WACKY Anything that Floats Race every year at Blackwater Sound, mile marker 104, bayside in Key Largo, Florida Keys.  This family-friendly event encourages participants to create some sort of craft made from materials found around the house.  You can't use actual parts of boats, motors, foam or pool toys.  Watch what people's imaginations can come up with.  Teams are encouraged to dress up as they navigate their "boats" on the race course.

Hemingway 5K Sunset Run & Paddle Board Race in Key West is one of the most picturesque athletic challenges in the South.   The Lazy Dog (local paddleboard vendor) Paddleboard Race begins at 6:00 pm at 1405 Duval Street at Key West's southernmost beach on the Atlantic Ocean.  Compete to run the 3 mile course out and back to the beach.
