Hemingway 5K Sunset Run & Paddle Board Race in Key West is one of the most picturesque athletic challenges in the South.   The Lazy Dog (local paddleboard vendor) Paddleboard Race begins at 6:00 pm at 1405 Duval Street at Key West's southernmost beach on the Atlantic Ocean.  Compete to run the 3 mile course out and back to the beach.

The 5k run starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Southernmost Point in the continental United States, located overlooking the ocean at Whitehead and South streets. The 5k run travels thru parts of Old Town Key West and several popular landmarks.  It is a nice, paved 3.1 mile flat course that is a joy to run.  Not much into running?  Want to take it a little easier on the knees?  There will also be a walking division in the 5k.  Join in the fun of the after-race awards party at the Southernmost Hotel, 1319 Duval St. The top 3 male and female finishers, top 3 male & female masters and the top male & female finishers by age group in the 5k will be given awards.  Participants range in age from 9 to 75+.  Register online through their website, register at the Southernmost Hotel from 3-7 p.m. or just come to cheer on the competitors!  Registration forms can be downloaded here.
