Touch A Truck

Join Cooper city at their fun Touch-A-Truck event at the Cooper City Sports Complex (next to the Cooper City Fire Department at Stirling & Palm).  Children will be able to get up close to their favorite big trucks!  Get your cameras ready for the cuteness as the kids clamber onto construction trucks, service vehicles, and more!  Kids will even be able to blow the horn!  Kids, parents and grandparents all love to explore large trucks.  All ages are welcome and the event is FREE.

Saturday Night Public Viewing at Fox

Saturday Night Public Viewing at Fox is offered by the South Florida Amateur Astronomer Association.  Members of the SFAAA and the public are welcome to enjoy a Saturday night under the South Florida Stars (Note: Members must display their background check badges when attending.)  The Fox Astronomical Observatory is located inside of Broward County’s Markham Park.  The Observatory is open to the public Saturdays from Sunset until midnight.

An Evening With the Stars

Just because there's an overabundance of ambient nighttime light in Broward County doesn't mean you can't go stargazing. It just means that exploring the heavens is best done with the aid of telescopes. That's where the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association (SFAAA) comes in. The group opens the Fox Observatory at Markham Park in Sunrise every Saturday evening, weather permitting, for free stargazing from dusk to midnight.

Juneteenth Celebration Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Festival

Kick off Broward County Libraries' Summer Learning Program and celebrate Juneteenth at  Northwest Branch Library's annual Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Juneteenth Festival. This fun, free, all-ages event is scheduled for Saturday, June 17th from 11AM to 5PM at Apollo Park, located at 1580 NW 3rd Ave., Pompano Beach, FL 333060, adjacent to the Northwest Branch Library.

New River Raft Race

The Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale is happy to announce the fourth annual New River Raft Race at Esplanade Park on the New River Saturday June 13th, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The race will start and finish on the river in front of Esplanade Park which is located across from the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Museum of Discovery and Science. The race theme is “Pirates of the River”.  The race is more of a parade than a speed event as all rafts must be human powered only.

Full Moon Drum Circle

Join in on the rhythms and have a good time at this monthly Full Moon Circle at Arts Park in Hollywood.  Sponsored by Resurrection Drums, this event encourages any one to come and partake in a FREE guided drum circle.  Bring a drum or any percussion instrument to the ArtsPark and participate! All skill levels welcome. Meet at the Palm Court (West Side). This is a fun event that is sure to get the kids excited about music!

Children's Trust Family Expo

The Children's Trust Family Expo, is a FREE day-long family festival at the Miami-Dade Fair and Expo Center on Saturday, September 10, 2016. It features activities and entertainment for the entire family in an effort to provide parents direct contact with health and social services, as well as educational opportunities. The event attracts more than 20,000 visitors a year.

Belle Glade Chamber Independence Celebration

Join the Belle Glade Chamber of Commerce for a family-friendly good time to celebrate America's Independence!  They will have several food vendors, including Real Cajun Cooking, Bunkey's BBQ, Pig In or Pig Out, Alligator, Inc. Mexican food, hamburgers and hot dogs as well as snow cones, cotton candy and glow-in-the dark stuff for the kids. The children can enjoy free face painting as well as a trackless train, bounce houses AND a water slide on this hot July day!

The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) proudly announces the 7th Annual Haunted Pirate Fest & Mermaid Splash on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 in downtown Boynton Beach. The Haunted Pirate Fest drew thousands of people of all ages to Downtown Boynton Beach last year to enjoy a variety of swashbuckling adventures. This Free fest is located along E. Ocean Avenue between Seacrest Blvd. and Federal Highway on Saturday 11am - 9 pm Sunday and 11 am - 6 pm.
