Tunes 'n Trucks

If you haven’t explored the expansive facilities of Sunrise’s Civic Center, here are some new reasons to go there. Join them at their Tunes 'n Trucks events on certain Fridays in the spring season. Around 6:00 on these Fridays, food trucks will roll in outside and launch delicious aromas of everyone’s favorites. Set up your lawn chairs etc. and grab some grub before the performance starts at 7.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket.

Chinese New Year with the Norton

The newly renovated Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach is celebrating the Year of the  Boar! Fireworks and a Dragon Dance highlight the Norton’s free Chinese New Year’s celebration on Saturday, February 16th. Activities begin at noon and include music, exhibition tours, lectures, storytelling, art projects for all ages, and more. 

Reggae Fest Lake Worth

Reggae Fest in Lake Worth is an annual celebration of Caribbean culture that has been exciting fans for 19 years. In addition to featured bands – this year’s headliners are Passafire, Maxi Priest & Collie Buddz– there will be an abundance of food and arts and crafts for sale. What was once the main stage will now act as a side stage for local supporting acts and a much larger stage will be erected in the lawn of the venue to host the well known national and international main headlining entertainment.

SunFest

SunFest is back!  Florida's largest waterfront music and art fest is returning to their popular city of West Palm Beach location this April 2016. The festival grounds are on Flagler Drive from Banyan Boulevard to Lakeview Drive. This event hosts famous bands every year that draw fans of all genres of music.

Arts Spark Kids Fest

Come out to Sugar Sand Park in west Boca Raton for an interactive art afternoon!  This five hour event will feature some of the awesome programming they have at Sugar Sand including a preview of their CIRQUESCO performance opening on February 20th in the Willow Theatre.  So, what's so interactive?  The kids can participate in workshops, make and take crafts, demonstrations and, of course, enjoy things like getting their faces painted or getting air brush tattoos!

Jupiter Jubilee

The Jupiter Jubilee is an annual community festival intended to celebrate life in the town of Jupiter by both informing and entertaining. It features local musical performances, athletic demonstrations, and exhibits by Jupiter businesses and community organizations. The kids area will have a rock climbing wall, face painting, bounce houses and games.   A special treat will be the 3D chalk art created by professional and amateur artists on the street outside the center. You can watch and cheer them on.

To this day, the observations of heavenly bodies continue to guide our understanding of the universe and inspire great works of art; they call us to boundless feats of exploration. Yet it is easy to forget the lights in the night skies that blanket us from above, especially when the lights from the technology we hold in our hands focuses so much of our attention downward.

Pompano Green Market

 If you are looking for some healthy, family friendly, outdoor fun for the weekends make sure you check out the Green Market of Pompano Beach. The Green Market is a family friendly farmers market that is open on Saturdays. It is located at 41 NE 1st Street in Pampano Beach. This is the market's 14th year in business! The Green Market is supported by the Pompano Beach Northwest Community Redevelopment Agency (NWCRA) and the Pompano Beach Historical Society.
