What to know before you go:

• The Upper Eastside Farmers Market will feature even more great vendors at the event and will continue until 3:00 PM.

• VolunteerCleanUp.org will be hosting shoreline clean ups every half hour beginning at 1:00 PM. (1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM). Please wear closed toed shoes and sign the waiver.

• All homeowner associations will have a table. If you would like to volunteer at your neighborhood’s table, let them know.

The Cook and The Cork

Food lovers are expected to gather at the Cook and The Cork again for their 3rd annual Young Culinarian Scholarship Fundraiser. This year THE BAYOU will be celebrated with a plethora of creole & cajun cuisine: the baddest BBQ ever, gumbo, jambalaya, red beans & rice, crawfish, beignets and more! Craft beer, wines, hurricanes & mimosas Live musical entertainment by Orange Sunshine, plus Zyedco favorties! All food is unlimited! Come and EAT, EAT, EAT! Beverages sold seperately.

Annual Take-A-Kid Fishin' Rodeo

Come to the 34th Annual Take a Kid Fishin' Rodeo and give the kids an event they won't forget!

$9.00 fee for all participants

Included with the Registration Fee is:

-Lunch (hot dog, chips, soda)

-Bait (live red worms)

-T-shirt (while supplies last)

-All the fun you can handle

 

Three age groups:

-5 and under

-6 to 8

-9 to 12

(All ages must be accompanied by an adult)

 

Annual Classic Car Round-Up

The Town of Davie, Sentinel Classics Insurance and Rick Case Automotive Group will sponsor its4th Annual Classic Car Round-Up, which will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, located at 4271 Davie Rd, Davie from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Join us for this great, free family classic car event, expected to draw hundreds of visitors to Downtown Davie. This is the best covered classic car show in Florida! 100 cars will be under the covered Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.

Fishing Derby & Breakfast

Come out to Zoo Miami, enjoy some breakfast, help catch INVASIVE fish from their lakes!

Removing invasive fish species helps improve habitat quality and creates room for native fish and wildlife. Zoo Miami provide the rods and bait, you reel 'em in! The family that catches the largest fish will win a behind-the-scenes experience in our Amazon and Beyond exhibit!

Zoo admission for the rest of the day is included.

Annual Waterway Clean-up

The Town of Davie and the Central Broward Water Control District welcomes you to participate in the 20th Annual Waterway Clean-up, a public awareness campaign to keep our waterways clean.  This event will take place on April 16, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. along the C-11 Canal, between State Road 7 and Flamingo Road, in Davie.  Be sure to pack your SWIMWEAR and enjoy the after party to thank you for all your hard work!  

 

Mother's Day Tea at the Gardens

Spoil mom with a gorgeous tea at the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in Miami this year.  

Join all the mothers on the Veranda and in the Ballroom of the Jean Ellen DuPont Shehan Visitor Center as we celebrate mothers and grandmothers with a lovely Afternoon Tea. Guests will be treated to scones, savories and desserts served by delightful garden volunteers while enjoying live music.

Tea service begins at 3:00 p.m.

Cost per person is $27 for members, $37 for non-members and $17 for children 12 and under.
