Summer Games with Miami Children's Museum
It is the season of the Summer Games and Miami Children’s Museum (MCM) is getting ready to debut an exciting competition of its own. It’s the return of the MiChiMu’s Summer Games exhibit! Created entirely by MCM’s educational staff, the newest exhibit is an interactive wonderland of athletic competition and cultural diversity. The Opening Ceremonies of the exhibit, complete with a torch relay, will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 11 AM to 6 PM and will be inspired by the upcoming games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This memorable day will include obstacle courses, medal making, straw javelin throwing and much more!
MiChiMu’s Summer Games offers multiple innovative and interactive components that focus on teamwork, fitness and healthy lifestyles while spotlighting different nations from around the world. The exhibit will feature fun interactive components such as; Traditional Torches, where visitors can light the torch flame and try to keep the flame going, Fantastic Gymnastic will encourage children to test their skills on a balance beam or dance away in the fun filled gymnastic area as well as learning about the different sports like swimming, cycling, running and the high jump. Badminton, basketball, table tennis, and golf will also be featured.
Enjoy the Summer Games with the whole family at Miami Children’s Museum, 980 MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island in Miami Saturday, June 4th through Sunday, September 4th, 2016. Entrance to the exhibit is included with regular Museum admission
