Miami Children’s Museum has landed on the WICKED WITCH OF THE EAST™ and her RUBY SLIPPERS™  can be seen sticking out from underneath MCM!  South Florida Finds was invited to a sneak peak of the Wizard of Oz Educational Exhibit and we must say, we thoroughly enjoyed it!  Watch the movie at home and then bring the kids to the Museum to learn about tornadoes, how to build an arch, understand the kaleidoscope and much more.

Zoo Boo at Zoo Miami is one of South Florida’s premier Halloween events where there’s something for everyone. Miami Children's Museum is the place to be for Halloween.  Not only can the little ones enjoy a Not So Scary Halloween Bash but also explore all the wonderful exhibits that we always love when visiting the museum!  This is Miami's most anticipated family friendly Halloween event!

The Norton’s annual celebration of the Chinese Moon Festival in honor of its world-class collection of Chinese art is set for noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016. The festivities include a performance by members of Florida State University’s Chinese Music Ensemble. The Ensemble is led by Haiqiong Deng, an award-winning musician who has performed at previous  Norton Moon Festival celebrations.

Join the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale for the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Kids Love & Family Expo.  This will be a Celebrity-Filled Extravaganza where family fun comes first!  Kids will be entertained with tons of fun and interactive activities, while parents can discover the latest and greatest in products and entertainment from 75 vendors & sponsors!

Join the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale for their exhibit kick-off on its opening weekend!  The Space Science Institute's National Center for Interactive Learning, with funding from the National Science Foundation and NASA, has developed a national traveling exhibition program called Great Balls of Fire: Comets, Asteroids, and Meteors.  This exhibit starts on October 3rd and will run thru January 2016!

Enjoy an educational and exploratory afternoon at the Sawgrass Nature Center & Hospital in Coral Springs every Wednesday at 1 PM. The Nature Explorers program is an adventure in nature with your child, exploring and learning more about our environment and the creatures that inhabit it. Each class has a different theme, featuring story time, nature observation, a live animal visit, and a craft to take home.

PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami) Third Thursdays Music Series occurs every third Thursday of the month from 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM. The Perez Art Museum located near the Biscayne Bay in Miami brings together an eclectic range of well known DJs and musicians for an outdoor music series on the terrace by the bay. Free with museum admission. The Museum admission is Free for members, active U.S. Military, and children under 6. Adults are $16.

Enjoy some time at Sugar Sand park, playground & carousel then head over to an engaging science demo done by the staff at the Science Explorium.  

Join the Explorium staff as they dig a little deeper into some exciting scientific principles!  Spark your curiosity during these FREE 30 minute, interactive, demonstrations.  Engaging explanations combine with audience participation to create an enjoyable learning experience for everyone!  Recommended for children age 7+.
