MCM Season of the Arts
The Miami Children’s Museum (MCM) is proud to present “Season of the Arts,” every Saturday during the month of December from 11AM – 3PM. The “Season of the Arts” series will introduce children and their families to a different form of art each week. The Museum has partnered with local artists and organizations such as, Xavier Cortada, New World Symphony, Florida Grand Opera and dancers from Miami City Ballet,in an effort to expose youth to the arts via this special programming during the holiday season.

Lynn University Family Fun Day
Now in its 12th year, Lynn University's Family Fun Day has truly become a can't-miss outing for families that live in South Florida. This award-winning event, was created to support the NCAA's Division II Community Engagement initiative. Through this event, Lynn's athletics department has created an open-house that allows kids and families the opportunity to visit a college campus, meet and engage with our student-athletes, coaches, staff and faculty, and experience a full-day of free, family fun.

Salute to Heroes Week
In recognition of their service to our country, “Salute to Heroes” Week offers all veterans, active duty military, police, fire, law enforcement and EMT personnel free admission to Miami Seaquarium from Saturday, November 5th through Sunday, November 13th. A valid military or first responder photo I.D. is required and must be presented at the ticket counter. All accompanying family members – up to four guests – will receive 50% off admission. Sip of Science
You're invited to Sip of Science on the Miami Science Barge! Sip of Science is a monthly lecture series hosted on the Miami Science Barge. Here, knowledgable people have the opportunity to speak with inspired individuals about current environmental issues and solutions. Enjoy discussion and drinks with a talk that makes you think!
Adults only. They love kids but due to the nature of this event, they request all attendees be at least 18 years old.

Zoo Clues
Someone has been causing mischief at the Zoo! Put your problem solving skills to the test as you help solve the mystery. This overnight Zoo Clues program includes a nocturnal zoo tour, up-close encounter with our animal ambassadors, themed activities and crafts, pizza and a continental breakfast. Must be age 6 or older to attend. A minimum of one adult is required per family. Pre-registration is required. Cost Per Participant: $40 for Members $50 for Non-Members (Adults must accompany children.

Thomas and Friends: Explore the Rails
Join Miami Children's Museum as they travel full steam ahead to the island of Sodur! The Thomas and Friends: Explore the Rails exhibit is here and your budding train engineer will be so excited to interact with the colorful exhibits. Suit up as the conductor and sell tickets to ride the train. Help Percy fix his wobbly wheel and get back on track, climb inside Thomas' cabin to explore the inner workings and so much more! Enjoy this travelling exhibit as well as the museum's permanent exhibits for the same admission price.

Explorium Make and Takes
Looking for a fun science project to take home? Drop in for a Make and Take every month! There's always a new project to try out, so check back to see what's coming up this month. No registration necessary. Program will run for approximately 1 hour, or until supplies run out.
Days: First Sunday of the Month
Time: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm or until supplies run out!

Quiet Waters Barktoberfest
This year Quiet Waters Park (954-357-5100) will host Barktoberfest as the K9 Splash Adventure event, October 6 and 7. Activities run from 8 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. and include doggie splash time, rescue and nonprofit groups, adoptions, Doggie Market Place, kiddie bounce houses, face painting, and costume contest. Admission is free, although some activities may entail nominal fees, and there is a $5/dog fee for 50-minute sessions in the water.

Boynton Beach Harvest Fest
Come out to the Boynton Beach Mall parking lot during the weekend of Sept 24 & 25th for some FREE family Fall fun!
