HBO and Sesame Workshop—in partnership with local public television stations—announced the launch of the Sesame Street: K is for Kindness Tour, a free, multi-city experiential tour timed to and inspired by the new, 47th season of Sesame Street, the gold standard in children’s television.

Free Lecture at Manatee Lagoon Center
Are you looking for something different and interesting to do on your Sunday afternoons ... something that is free and fun? Spend the best part of your Sunday afternoons at Manatee Lagoon and hear from a variety of interesting environmental personalities who happen to specialize in telling stories about really cool things - like the octopus population under the Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach or know why manatees really do matter? Everyone is welcome, every Sunday starting June 4th. Talks are scheduled from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Sid the Scientist Kid Exhibit
Check out Sid and his friends in our brand new exhibit: Sid the Scientist Kid. Pack the day full of fun science experiments where you can get messy with our oobleck creations, test speed in a balloon race, and build towers out of marshmallow. Try to launch your own bottle rocket and check out the latest MCM Player’s original stage performance.

Wild Nights at Zoo Miami
Zoo Miami at night is a whole different animal! Come get an exclusive look at our night-loving species after the sun goes down. The night tours will also provide a glimpse into the zoo's animal enrichment programs. A night-time walking tour providing behind-the-scenes experiences with our nocturnal animal ambassadors! Join us on the second Saturday of each month for a different group animals and a fun, kid-friendly theme. Approximately 25 spaces available for each session.

Glasstress
Starting on January 27th and running thru September 5th 2021, the Glasstress exhibit will be on display at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Glasstress features over 30 glass installations created by contemporary artists from around the world in collaboration with the international organization Glasstress, Venice and the master glass artisans of Berengo Studio, Murano. The results challenge our notion of glass as a ‘beautiful’ material and encourage us to explore the bold, political, and sometimes less than pristine aspects of the medium.

Science for Seniors

India Fest
The India Fest, in its 16th year, has become one of the premier events to occur in South Florida, with over 25,000 people attending every year. Hosted by the Palm Beach India Association, a non-profit organization, IndiaFest is driven each year to help enrich the community and serve the people. IndiaFEST is a free event that is held outdoors and is open to everyone. The festival will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at the Meyer Amphitheatre in beautiful downtown West Palm Beach.

Woodlawn Cemetery Tour
Moonlight cemetery tour of the historic Woodlawn Cemetery by the city of West Palm Beach.
Join local historians, Janet DeVries and Ginger Pedersen, on a moonlight cemetery tour of the historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The tour will cover some of the most prominent pioneer families who arrived in the area more than 100 years ago. Tours are limited to 50 guests and a $5.00 donation is appreciated at the end of the tour and will be used to help restore the cemetery.

The Schoolhouse Children's Museum in Boynton Beach will be offering a special six week series for local pre-schoolers. This literature based kindergarten readiness class is designed to introduce letters and numbers to young children through circle time and engaging hands- on activities.
