Goulds Park Recreation Center
Goulds Park Recreation Center in Miami Dade County is a state of the art, technology and recreational community center. This beautiful facility contains a 12,000 sf multi use gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts and seating for 400. Two large programming wings have been added to each side of the gym. This addition brought 10,000 additional square feet to make for a complete community center. There are now extra rooms for educational spaces, arts and crafts, meeting rooms, a weight room, aerobics fitness room, game room and two computer learning labs.
Grapeland Heights Park and Water Park
Grapeland Heights Park is located in the Grapeland Heights area of Miami that runs just east of the Miami International Airport and alongside the Miami river. This park contains the only water park in the city of Miami. The water park is open seasonally during the warmest months and is quite popular with families. The park itself offers year round fun with walking trails, an open green space, walking trails and a baseball field.
Gwen Cherry Park
Gwen Cherry Park in Miami-Dade County was named after Gwen Cherry, the first African-American woman to ever be elected to the Florida Legislature. This park is the park for the sports enthusiasts and the youth of the city. The park really works hard to reach out to the community with its various sports programs like a Pop Warner Youth League and the Boys and Girls Club of Miami.
Highland Oaks Park
The Highland Oaks Park in the northern Miami-Dade County houses one of the last remaining freshwater wetlands located at the headwaters of the renowned Oleta River. It is the only natural river remaining in the Miami-Dade County. The Highland Oaks Park is a huge park with a number of open fields. It is a favorite place for the athletes. The park also has boardwalks that are accessible by all, a fishing dock and trails. The most popular trails include the Black Oak Barren Trail & Spring Lake Trail.
K-Land Park
K-land Park is an interesting fun packed recreational outdoor space located in the area of Kendall in Miami, Florida. The park promises an array of activities to visitors that will leave a footprint in their memories as they enjoy the cool serene aura brought about by the well-manicured landscape of the park and the cool breezes coming from the park’s lake. Programming at this county park is run by the Boys & Girls Club.
Kings Meadow Park
Kings Meadow Park is family-friendly park located in 10036 SouthWest 142nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33186, Miami-Dade County in the United States. It is situated in a small neighborhood community. For those who do not know the area very well, it's easy to locate a sign bearing the park's name in front of a small parking lot by the roadside.
Klipsch Amphitheater at Bayfront Park
Bayfront Park is located in downtown Miami right along the Biscayne Bay. This urban waterside park is a wonderful jumping off point for a family's time in the city of Miami. Come and enjoy a stroll along the waterside with a picturesque fountain and sculptures. Walk over to the adjacent Bayside Marketplace with its shops and restaurants.
Larry & Penny Thompson Park
The Larry & Penny Thompson Park is a first class campground in Miami-Dade County. This beautiful campground is right next door to the Zoo Miami. The park is named after the late Thompsons who were avid campers and civic leaders in in South Florida. This campground is one of the last portions of leftover wilderness in Miami! The University of Miami used to own this land and there are remnants left of their old fruit groves.
Matheson Hammock Park & Beach
Matheson Hammock Park & Beach is a large, 130 acre water-side area east of Kendall and Pinecrest, just south of Coconut Grove. The park is adjacent to the beautiful Fairchild Gardens. This park was created back in the 1930s and developed by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps). The sparkling jewel of the park is the manmade tidal pool filled and flushed naturally with water from Biscayne Bay. It is a wonderful place for young children or beginning swimmers.
