The Larry & Penny Thompson Park is a first class campground in Miami-Dade County. This beautiful campground is right next door to the Zoo Miami. The park is named after the late Thompsons who were avid campers and civic leaders in in South Florida. This campground is one of the last portions of leftover wilderness in Miami! The University of Miami used to own this land and there are remnants left of their old fruit groves.

Coral Villas Park is a lovely little park with an amazing play structure in Miami Dade County. This is a newer park that opened in 2013. The park was developed with lots of nice walkways and natural landscaping. The perimeter of the entire park is planted with native shrubs that require little water and care. These large shrubs provide privacy to the neighbors of the park and food for the wildlife. New Tamarind and Oak trees have been planted near the already established Oaks with the purpose of providing more beautiful and shady areas in the years to come.

Amelia Earhart Park in Miami-Dade County is one of the largest parks in the city of Hialeah, with many activities for the entire family at this beautiful, 515 acre park with 5 lakes.  Read this article about the NEW 2015 renovation of the playground into "Tom Sawyer's Island" play area!  This whimsical, natural and exciting new playground will definitely keep the kids occupied and off the ipad!

Seminole Palms Park in Royal Palm Beach is a beautiful, 70+ acre city park in South Florida. It is full of palm trees, gorgeous athletic fields, and it even features a water park next door. They are both ran by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. There is something for everyone at this park, from the sports enthusiast to the water lover. You will always see a nice crowd at this park. There is such a wide variety of activity at Seminole Palms, from a Senior Softball League, to youth cheerleaders, this park has it all.

If you are looking for a fun park to take your family to, and the possibility to get to see some horses up close, then you won't want to miss this park!  Jupiter Farms Park is located in Jupiter, Florida in Palm Beach County. This is a large, 51 acre park that offers some great amenities for the whole family!

The West Boynton Park and Recreation Center (a.k.a. Park Vista Park) located at 6000 Northtree Boulevard Lake Worth Florida, on 47.12 acres is a premier district parks and recreation center. West Boynton outdoor facilities are open from sunrise to sunset with lighted court facilities continuing until 9:00 pm and with a permit, lighted field facilities until 10:00 pm daily.

 Ira Van Bullock Park in Greenacres, Florida, offers many family-friendly amenities. Do you ever feel up for a game of basketball? The two lighted courts found here allow you to watch, or play, after the sun goes down. Two baseball fields, also lighted, can be found here as well--it's where Palm Beach County children and youth play in their Little League games. The gazebo is a great place to sit and read a book; it's location offers a wonderful outlook to the entire park, giving it a relaxing atmosphere.

The Greenacres Community Park is an excellent travel destination in Greenacres, FL. It is located in Palm Beach County in South Florida. It is a beautiful 16.75 acre park and has many amenities that the whole family can enjoy, including six shuffleboard courts, two tennis courts, two playgrounds, two fields that can be used for multiple purposes, and two BBQ grills and pavilions. This park is a great location for families to have picnics or play sports together.

Veterans Park in Royal Palm Beach has many times been referred to as a 'hidden paradise'. The park cover almost 6 acres and was incorporated in 1959. This great facility has over the years gained a lot of popularity due to its great amenities that have fun activities for the whole family. There is something for the grown ups and the kids. The kids can enjoy the tot lot and the open area while the adults take in a game of Bocce.
