Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is located at the southern end of Key Biscayne near Miami. This picturesque beach with historic Cape Florida lighthouse (built in 1825) is a popular spot for romantic getaways and family fun. The beach is not guarded so please be aware that you are swiming at your own risk. Bring your bicycle along and enjoy over a mile of paved and completely flat bike paths. For fun at the shore you can bring your rods for some fishing along Biscayne Bay on the seawall. If you'd like a peek inside of the lighthouse, there are free guided tours twice a day Thursday through Monday at 10am and 1pm. You can see the city of Miami, the beach and bay from the top of the lighthouse if you can climb up the over 100 steps!
Lighthouse Café and Boater's Grill, offer authentic Cuban cuisine at the park. If you bring your own food, you can grill it up at the picnic areas or reserve a pavilion for larger groups. Please know that if you are hosting an event at the park that even if you pay for the pavilion area your guests will still need to pay the entrance fees to the park.
To enter the park you must pay the following fees: $8.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle, $4.00 Single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle, or $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists or extra passengers.
**Overnight boat camping is allowed in No Name Harbor and a primitive campsite is available for organized youth groups. **
