The first OurTownAmerica festival was held in 1979. Originally the OurTownAmerica event was sponsored by the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce. Though the weekend event is known for its amusements, classic car show, the Our Town's Got Talent show, and booths, this very important purpose of giving back to the community has made the event very meaningful for the community.  The event is "An exciting three-day family festival featuring Coral Springs at its best!" 

Downtown Hoedown

Join the Town of Davie and the South Florida Cloggers for the Downtown Hoedown sponsored by the Rick Case Automotive Group.  There is no entrance fee for the event with free activities and activities for a small cost.  Proceeds from the event benefit the South Florida Cloggers.   Come on out for a good old fashion hoedown that will include music, food, line dancing, and fun for the entire family!

 

Annual Polynesian Cultural Festival

Experience the culture and beauty of the Polynesian Islands right here in sunny South Florida at Jaco Pastorious Park in Oakland Park.  Enjoy hula performances, fire & knife dancers, delicious island dishes and a Kids Corner.  There will be a Ukelele exhibition as well as live Island Music.  The kids can keep busy at the Hula competition or making arts and crafts.  There is something for all members of the family at this cultural event.  The event will run from 12pm to 7pm.  Adults cost $10 to enter and children under 12 are FREE.

St Catherine Greek Festival

St. Catherine's Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach will host it's 42nd Annual Greek Food & Wine Festival February 17th-19th, 2017.  The theme is Greek Food & Wine Fest where there is something delicious and fun for everyone: authentic Greek foods, wine & spirits, specialty vendors, live Greek music, kids' activities, traditional Greek dance performances, Greek dance lessons, and more...Opa!

Bring a blanket, share a picnic dinner and enjoy the sights and sounds of the New World Symphony with friends and family! 

Each WALLCAST™ concert is free to the public and does not require a ticket. 

India Fest

The India Fest, in its 16th year, has become one of the premier events to occur in South Florida, with over 25,000 people attending every year. Hosted by the Palm Beach India Association, a non-profit organization, IndiaFest is driven each year to help enrich the community and serve the people. IndiaFEST is a free event that is held outdoors and is open to everyone. The festival will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at the Meyer Amphitheatre in beautiful downtown West Palm Beach.

DragonFest

DragonFest is Palm Beach Zoo's annual celebration of the Chinese New Year!  This year is the year of the Red Chicken.  Join in for great fun and great wishes for the new year!  We'll have a DJ, crafts, face painting, and the always amazing Dragon and Lion Dances by John Wai Kung Fu Academy along with a marial arts demonstration! Be sure to visit their resident modern day dragon...the Komodo dragon.  

Old Time Dance

Expose the kids to old fashioned dance moves by taking them to Old Time Dance at the Barnacle in Miami held once a month.  

Swing your partner, do-si-do, and promenade down to The Barnacle for an outdoor contra dance held under a covered pavilion by Biscayne Bay! These fun and friendly group dances are open to everyone and include a caller and a live acoustic band. The gates open at 6:00 p.m. Pre-dance instruction begins at 6:30 p.m., and dancing starts at 7:00 p.m. Picnics are welcome and snacks to share are encouraged.

Dia De Los Muertos Lake Worth

The Day of the Dead will be celebrated this year in Lakw Worth, Palm Beach County.  Enjoy some of the traditional activities celebrated in Mexico for this special holiday right here in South Florida.  There will be a procession and several  ofrendas (alters for the deceased) at this event.  OFrendas typically will have various traditional symbols on them and honor specfic deceased. Look for marigolds, sugar skulls, and personal mementos of the deceased.
