In its 13th year, the “Taste of the Island” culinary event in Wilton Manors will feature more than 30 restaurants, breweries and eateries from south Florida’s tri-county region.

Co-Sponsored by Grieco Ford of Ft. Lauderdale and Grieco Chevrolet of Ft. Lauderdale and iHeart radio, this year’s “Taste” event offers guests to sample culinary delights and libations in a charming historic park setting. Listed as one of South Florida’s must-see Halloween events year after year, the annual Spirits of Stranahan House Halloween Ghost Tours return on October 25, 26, 29 and 30. The evening tour, guided by authentic Victorian Mourners, will divulge the secrets of the spirits who linger within the confines of Fort Lauderdale’s oldest and most historic home. Hear the haunting tales of some of South Florida’s famous residents and local paranormal lore. You may even come across the spirit of Frank Stranahan himself!

Enjoy Fort Lauderdale’s waterways and sunshine while browsing an amazing array of boats, marine products and accessories at the 59th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the world’s largest in-water boat show with more than 1,500 boats on display.

The show offers something for everyone, from astonishing super-yachts to boats for every budget, boating electronics and equipment, fishing gear, marine art, nautical-themed home goods, clothing, jewelry and more.

Tri-Rail, South Florida’s premier commuter rail system, invites talented kids ages 5 to 17 to audition for “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent,” a singing competition held as part of Tri-Rail’s “Rail Fun Day.” Young singers from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are encouraged to audition for the chance to compete in the judged event.

Bring your superheroes, princesses and cartoon characters to our family friendly Halloween Haunted House.

Children will wander through a non-scary haunted house that weaves through the indoor classrooms and then have a chance to play on bounce houses and slides. There is also a themed room for the youngest visitors. Trick-or-Treaters will get their share of candy as they leave.
