City Place
City Place is a popular shopping and entertainment area in downtown West Palm Beach. It is located just east of the Kravis Performing Arts Center and south of Okeechobee Blvd. City Place plays host to several quality family entertainment and events with Family Festivals, concerts and holiday fun like nightly snowfall in December.
McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary
McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is a number one visitor attraction in the West Palm Beach area. As the name implies, the Sanctuary is first and foremost a working wildlife rescue facility. It is a non-profit, and fully licensed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Every year it rehabilitates hundreds of injured animals brought to it by game officers and members of the public. It brings the animals back to health and releases them into the wild.
Mounts Botanical Garden
Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach is a wonderful place to explore the flora and fauna of South Florida. Mounts Botanical Garden offers classes and special events to help educate and excite Floridians about the diversity that abounds in this area. Mounts hosts the Fall Family Festival, Connoisseurs Garden Tour on Mother's Day and the Tropical Fruit Festival. Admire or taste or buy several of the specimens highlighted at the events or in the garden. Restrooms are located adjacent to the garden shop.
Norton Museum of Art
***The Museum reopened on July 5 after a five-week hiatus to re-install galleries and prep for construction. Admission is FREE for all through December 2018! Be sure to visit the reinstalled galleries to view your favorite works in a new context. ***
Okeeheelee Nature Center
Okeeheelee Nature Center features 2.5 miles of trails winding through 90 acres of pine flatwoods and wetlands. Highlights of the center include hands-on exhibits, animal encounters and a nature related gift shop. Marvel at birds of prey, touch a live snake or prowl for owls during one of the many programs scheduled throughout the year for families, youth and adults. Exhibits: ECOSYSTEMS of PALM BEACH COUNTY Leaves seem to crunch underfoot as you walk by Clyde Butcher's life-size image of a hardwood hammock.
Palm Beach Ice Works
Palm Beach Ice Works in West Palm Beach is an Olympic size ice facility. It is primarily dedicated as a training center for the serious figure skater and hockey player however there are Family Skate times as well. The PBIW offers camps, classes, birthday parties and training for serious athletes. This new facility is a great place for families to enjoy time together or for the kids to learn figure skating, hockey, or even gymnastics. There are vending machines in case you need to snack and relax.
Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society
Palm Beach Zoo is a 23 acres attraction located in the northern end of Dreher Park just east of I-95. The Palm Beach Zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Revolutions Bowling & Bar
Revolutions Bowling & Bar in West Palm Beach, Florida is a fun and exciting place for people to gather for a night of bowling and good fun. Situated at the North end of CityPlace, West Palm's entertainment central hub, you can't drop in without noticing. Revolutions is open Sundays thru Thursdays from Eleven a.m. to Twelve a.m., and Friday thru Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Featured as a bowling venue, Revolutions offers so much more than just your conventional bowling alley.
South Florida Science Center and Aquarium
The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium contains 50 interactive exhibits, a digital planetarium, a Science Trail outdoors, miniature golf, multiple fresh & salt water aquariums, a stargazing observatory, natural history exhibits, and numerous educational programs. The center was recently renovated in 2013 and now includes a Subway and an aquarium. The South Florida Scence Center is a member of the ASTC and recognizes memberships for admission from participating science centers.
West Palm Beach Golf Course
West Palm Beach Golf Course is located just east of I-95 in southern West Palm Beach. In 2009 the course was restored by 10 time PGA Tour Champion Mark McCumber. The course features an 18-hole, par 71 championship Dick Wilson original designed course reaching 7002 yards and having five sets of tees. Tee times can be reserved online and by phone. Private lessons and clinics are available to either learn golf or improve your game. The course has it's own restaurant for repose after the game.
