The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach contains over 7000 works of art in its permanent collection.  They often feature temporary art exhibits that younger kids would find exciting like Lego Art, Disney art, and Costume Art which included items worn in Star Trek and Star Wars.  The museum was founded in 1941 by Ralph Hubbard Norton (1875–1953) and his wife, Elizabeth Calhoun Norton (1881–1947). The Nortons amassed a large collection of paintings and sculpture which they decided to make public in the early 1940s.  The collection features American, Chinese, European, Contemporary and Photographic Arts. Children always love the fountains out front, the Chihuly glass ceiling with its hidden nautical creatures, and the interesting art that is both thought provoking and sparks their own creative wick.  The Norton frequently offers children's programs, displays local student art, and hosts the Art after Dark event every Thursday.   

Fratelli Lyon offers gourmet refreshments for lunch and for special events. The cafe is located in the West Courtyard of the museum and offers Illy cafe at its coffee bar.  The museum gift shop sells art and small souvenirs of their collection that the kids may enjoy taking home to remember their day.

Palm Beach County residents receive FREE admission on the first Saturday of every month.

West Palm Beach residents receive FREE admission every Saturday.
