Pinecrest Gardens

University Woodlands Park
University Woodlands Park is located across the street from the esteemed Pine Crest School on St. Andrews in Boca Raton. This park has an unassuming entrance on the west side of the road and plenty of parking. Pull straight into the rear to find the baseball fields, restrooms, picnic areas, and playground. The park also features soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts,and grills. The playground area is shaded by tall pine trees. The play equipment is best used by older children who are confident on their feet.
Scott Rakow Youth Center
Scott Rakow Youth Center in Miami Beach is located just south of the Julia Tuttle Causeway and west of Pine Tree Drive on the island. This corner park and facility has all of the bells and whistles your family could ask for at an affordable price. Scott Rakow was a local Miami Beach police officer who died in the line of duty in 1988. This was built in memorium for him as a special place for his community of Miami Beach.
Holiday Park
Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale is an over 90 acres park located just south of Sunrise Blvd and east of Federal Highway. It is a mega park with activities for every age and stage of life. The park hosts everything from team sports to major city-sponsored events and performances. The War Memorial Auditorium and the Jimmy Evert Tennis enter are both located within Holiday Park.
Logger's Run Park
Logger's Run Park in western Boca Raton is located on 54 acres off Palmetto Park Road. The park is open from sunrise-sunset with lighted court facilities open until 9:00 pm and lighted athletic fields open until 10:00 pm. Three basketball courts as well as four multipurpose fields are available. Bring out your sneaks and take on the exercise trails or take hike on the nature trail. Children age 2-12 have 2 separate play structures geared to their age group.
Riverland Park
Riverland Park in Fort Lauderdale offers water fun and sports recreation. The park features a water playground or splash park for younger children as well as a lap pool which are open seasonally. Programming includes lessons, water aerobics and open swim. The almost 10 acre park includes a large Recreation Center which may be rented and reserved for a fee. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the walking/jogging trail, full court basketball and football/soccer field.
Joseph C. Carter Park
Joseph C. Carter Park is located just east of I-95 off the Sunrise Blvd exit on the south side of the road. This 21.6 acre Fort Lauderdale park has so much to offer. It is most popular for its large lighted athletic facilities for football, track, baseball, tennis, and basketball. J.C. Carter Park now has new pickle ball courts and raquetball to enjoy. There is an indoor gymnsasium, annex, social center, and recreation center. Families and groups can rent pavilions located throughout the park.
Secret Woods Nature Center
Secret Woods Nature Center in Dania Beach is a wonderful natural oasis in an urban area. The park and nature center were brought about through the efforts of local citizens wishing to preserve their "Secret Woods" from development. With the help of the Nature Conservancy and Broward County in the 1970s, the first nature center in the county was opened and the almost 57 acres of land were saved.
Bernstein Park
Bernstein Park is a public recreation park located just south f the Overseas Highway on Stock Island in the Keys. The park features baseball, basketball, and soccer areas with a concession stand. This park has been home to the Key West Rugby Club for over 0 years. Families can come out and enjoy a leisurely afternoon picnic at the park and let the kids play at the bright red playground.
Curry Hammock State Park
Curry Hammock State Park consists of a bunch of islands in the Middle Keys in Marathon. Come and enjoy a little bit of Florida's wild side by exploring the hardwood hammocks on these tropical islands, the wetlands, swamps and seagrass beds that are home to diverse wildlife. The park runs along both sides of US1 for 11 miles all the way to Long Key with the entrance found on the Atlantic Ocean side. The shallow water beach offers up to 1200 feet of sandy shoreline to enjoy.
