Visiting South Florida and don’t know what to do? Or been living here for a while and feel like sightseeing?

Take a walk around Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It provides an awesome view whilst rambling around the famous Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk. There are many events in the park throughout the whole year, so if you’re coming down for a visit, try checking the South Florida Finds website beforehand. 

Plantation Woods Park is located in Plantation, FL. The park was designed by a man of the name David Serrano, who constructed the front entrance, squirrel statues, and log benches that you can see throughout the park. The park consists of three different playgrounds corresponding to age.  Art can be found throughout the play space.

Sand Pine Park is a centrally located neighborhood park on 8.6 acres in Boca Raton, Florida, in Palm Beach County. The park is open to the public from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and sunset on Sunday. Some of the park’s visitors say it is the best place to play soccer.

The Fern Forest Nature Center in Coconut Creek is the last remnant of what used to be a Cypress Creek flood-way and Hammock. The 247.1-acrewilderness land is full of diverse plant communities all influenced by different soil types, differences in elevation and bedrock exposure as well as human activities. In 1979, the land was purchased by Broward County from the Palm Aire Development Corporation, as a new center aimed at preserving the unique botanical features of the site.

South Florida is home to many aquatic sites. Just in the City of Miami, there are twelve of these aquatic sites and one of the twelve is the Charles Hadley Aquatic Complex. Located at 4800 NW 12 Ave., Miami, Florida, this aquatic complex boasts three pools: an Olympic-sized pool (50 meters), a 33-meter pool and a wading pool for toddlers. Charles Hadley Aquatic Complex is really a swimmer's dream come true, but, for those who are not so comfortable in the water, do not fret!

If you're looking for a lovely neighborhood park to have a picnic and toss a frisbee, Richard D. Petrillo Park in Coral Springs is the perfect place. The park features five acres of open green space, with a scattering of trees. It is a wonderful place to wile away an afternoon in the sun. With plenty of room for young ones to play and the older ones to run, Richard D. Petrillo Park will suit families young and old. Bring a hula hoop or a soccer ball to kick around. Or perhaps plan ahead and make a scavenger hunt to play throughout the park.

The Robert King High Park and Carlos Arboleya Campground in Miami, Florida dates from the early 70's and was reopened in 2011 after extensive remodeling. The improved park features a new building for classes and meetings plus the addition of a sanded volleyball court.

The Evelyn Greer Park in Pinecrest (Miami),  is a family friendly park that is set on a ten acre piece of land and boasts of having received the 2008 Best Wi-Fi Award. Evelyn Greer Park was formerly known as "Pinecrest Park".  The park is renowned for having spacious yet excellently manicured green fields. Various exciting activities can be held in the park because it has versatile fields for athletic games such as soccer and soft ball, a community gazebo, a tot lot and a recreation centre.

Coral Reef Park in Palmetto Bay is the village's premier public park with over 50 acres of stunning south Florida. Many families enjoy coming to this park for the natural pineland preserves, the beautiful wildlife, outdoor sports and tennis lessons. You will see many people enjoying a rest under the shady trees, reading books, bird watching, picnicking and more. This park has a tranquil feel with a lovely, streaming canal and peaceful walking trails. You will easily see why it is consistently rated 4 & 5 stars on most review sites.

South Dade Park in Homestead offers a host of amenities for families looking for a fun day out.  The park is located near US1 and the Coral Castle attraction in Miami Dade county.
