Playgrounds

This is designated by the city of Boynton Beach as a  "neighborhood" park.  The park is situated in a residential neighborhood and has limited parking.  The best way to find it is to take Seacrest Blvd south of Woolbright to SE 28th Ave. Go east on 28th it forks into 28th Ct and 28th Ave. Doesn't matter which one you take, just keep going east to SE 2nd and then turn left (north) on 2nd and you'll see it on your right. This is a relatively new park that was dedicated in 2007. The park is open from sunrise to 9pm.

Pioneer Canal Park is TRULY a neighborhood park. Take Boynton Beach Blvd just west of I-95 and at "Wendy's" turn right up NW 7th Street. When 7th is about to end, turn left (west) onto 13th and the park is right there. It runs along a canal and has a great playground. Located on the C-16 canal that runs east to west, the park provides boaters fresh water access to the E-4 canal that runs north to south and access to Lake Osborne to the north and Lake Ida to the south.

Designed as a neighborhood park by the city of Boynton Beach for the Meadows neighborhood this is a popular park that has something for everyone. Popular park but not over-crowded, great way to meet neighbors. Amenities Basketball court, BBQ grills, benches, bike rack, bocce court, drinking fountain, fitness trail (1/2-mile path with 11-exercise stations), gazebo, open play area, pavilion, picnic tables, playground, rental shelters, tennis courts, volleyball court. Hours: Sunrise- Sunset;lighted facilites open until 10:00 p.m.

Small neighborhood park of Laurel Hills. Playground was built in the mid-1970's but the equipment is relatively new as it had been replaced in 2006. Open play area, benches, playground and basketball courts. NO restrooms. Great park for playing and picnicing. Hours: sunrise to sunset.

This park is adjacent to the Galaxy Elementary School parking lot right on Boynton Beach Blvd east of I-95. You can see it from Boynton Beach Blvd but there is NO ENTRANCE there. You need to go further east to NW 4th Street and head north. You then head back toward I-95 on 4th ave which turns into Galaxy Way. They just recently re-did the playground and it is very colorful and inviting. Lighted areas of the park are open until 10pm otherwise it's sun up to sun down hours for the rest of the park.

This park is tucked up against a barrier wall for I-95. It has a small parking area and is pretty deep into it's surrounding neighborhood.  When you turn into the neighborhood, keep all the way alongside I-95 and you can't miss it. The gate for the fenced in area is located close to the exit onto the street so be sure to keep a close eye on children playing.  The park stretches out from the playground into a shaded open area.  Quiet and secluded so be aware of your surroundings when visiting this neighborhood recreation area.

This is a neighborhood park that is maintained by the city of Boynton Beach. There is approximately 8 parking spaces and no restrooms. Mainly used by neighborhood families it can be a nice quiet place to play or take bike rides. There is a large open field adjacent to the playground that's great for frisbee, football, or soccer games. The playground equipment is mostly for younger kids and the pavilion is very small so not for party use. Swings are both infant and normal so older kids and adults may also swing. This park was created mainly as a bicycle trail along a newly formed canal. It's a 1/3 mile bicycle trail with bathrooms and a playground. This could be a good place to start young bike riders that is not such a formidable distance and without worries about car traffic. It is just east of Wilson Park and Poinciana Elementary School. The main entrance with the playground is at the intersection of Railroad and 13th avenue. There are also some spots designated for fishing with the mono-filament disposal sites available at the park.

There are 2 playgrounds at Wilson Park. One is for the younger kids (with swings and a safer version of a see saw) and the other is more for school age children. This park and recreation center are right behind Poinciana Elementary school so a lot of the parents and children make this their spot for afterschool play time. There are showers, changing rooms, and restrooms. The afterschool programs and summer camp are held at the Sims recreation center. Kids will enjoy slides and water buckets to splash and play. The outdoor pool is heated.

 A unique feature of Intracoastal Park is its access for non-motorized vessel launching; swimming is not permitted in the pond or in the Intracoastal Waterway. A Veterans Memorial by the city of Boynton Beach is located at the entrance to the park. A 1/3-mile concrete path winds around a small lake with a floating fountain. Amenities include BBQ grills, benches, pavilions, and restrooms. The Clubhouse at Intracoastal Park opened in September 2007.
