Countess de Hoernle Park aka Spanish River Athletic Facility
Countess de Hoernle Park (Spanish River Athletic Facility) is a city-owned park in Boca Raton, Florida. First opened in 2012 and located south of Spanish River Boulevard, the park came to life when the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District provided the city of Boca Raton with $13.9 million of taxpayers' money to improve upon 80 acres of unused land owned by the city. The land once belonged to the IBM Corporation.

Across from the playground is a well-kept tennis court.

This small park consists of a boat ramp, fishing area, playground, shaded green areas, restrooms and picnic tables. Across the street is a convenient Walgreens for any last minute needs. The playground is better suited for school age children then for smaller tots. There is a large yellow spiral sculpture along US1 that helps identify the park location from the road. Ample parking is provided.
Delray Municipal Beach
Delray Municipal Beach is located at the far eastern side of Atlantic Avenue where it intersects with A1A.

Family Recreation Fitness Center
This odd BRAND NEW park is a sign of our economic times. The City of Delray Beach purchased the property and started clearing it during the "boom" times. Now that the money has run out, the only thing on property is the handicap accessible SHADED playground equipment. The grand plan involves building a large recreation center to serve western Delray residents but construction is on hold indefinitely. So, you have a children's playground right next to the pre-existing Senior Center. Incongruous but a new playground none-the-less.
