Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden
The Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden is located right off the Overseas Highway on Stock Island just east of the main island of Key West. Bernstein Park
Bernstein Park is a public recreation park located just south f the Overseas Highway on Stock Island in the Keys. The park features baseball, basketball, and soccer areas with a concession stand. This park has been home to the Key West Rugby Club for over 0 years. Families can come out and enjoy a leisurely afternoon picnic at the park and let the kids play at the bright red playground.
Bayview Park
Bayview Park is located in a residential Key West neighborhood in the center of town. The park features 5 tennis courts, a large open field, basketball courts, playground and the Pepe Hernandez softball field. Ample parking is located on the perimeter of the park that is both pull in and streetside parallel spots. There are plenty of shady areas to enjoy a picnic as well as a pavilion for use. Restrooms are located within the park.
Wickers Sports Complex
Wickers Sports Complex in Key West is located just north west of the Key West International airport on the corner of Kennedy and Flagler. The park is home to 17 male softball teams that play their yearly season at this field. For adults who are over 30 years old, there are also teams that play here twice a week. It's a wonderful way to keep active and show your kids a thing or two. The large football feld hosts a youth football league that plays from August to December. The children who participate are as young as 7 and run up to age 14.
MLK Community Pool and Community Center
MLK Community Pool & Community Center was named in honor of the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. This wonderfully well-maintained pool is FREE for use by all visitors to Key West and residents. Cool off or swim laps as you take in the gorgeous ocean views. The park is located at the intersection of Thomas and Catherine Streets. There is ample streetside parking on both streets. Get off the beaten path and enjoy Key West like a local.
Dry Tortugas National Park
Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson consists of seven small islands full of natural splendor and historical significance. Located about 70 miles off the coast of Key West these secluded and pristine islands are home to gorgeous sandy beaches, a historic fort, and spectacular native birds and fish. Spend a day excursion from Key West lapping up the sun as you lay on the sandy beaches, exploring the coral reef or by taking in an informative historical tour of Fort Jefferson.

Clarence Higgs Beach Park
Clarence Higgs Memorial Beach is an over 16 acre beach park located in Monroe County at the end of the Florida Overseas Heritage Trail. It is just west of Smathers Beach and adjacent to the Key West Wildlife Center in downtown Key West. This beach is more than just a gorgeous place to spend the day under the South Florida sun, it is also a historical site with significant features that date back to the post-Civil War era.

Smathers Beach
Smathers Beach is the largest publc beach in Key West. This municipal beach stretches about a half mile long and features a volleyball area, picnic tables, and restrooms. Visitors can wash away the salt and sand with fresh water showers. This beach is a popular destination for Spring Breakers. If you'd like a little adventure on the water, you can rent jetskis from Smathers Beach or bring out your boat since Smathers does have a boat ramp.
