Head to Broward County for a tastte of Caribbean flair!  This October 1st, Saturday, there will be a colorful kid-friendly Junior Carnival inLauderhill at Central Broward Regional Park.  Make a day of it by bringing the kids' swimwear for fun at the splash playground located at this park and follow it up with the Carnival activities that start at 1 p.m.  Good food and 10 different live performing bands will highlight the event.  Don't miss the high-energy vivid parade that starts at 2pm.

Join the staff at Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton for activities, giveaways, and the latest updates about upcoming programs and events. The Playdate will meet at the Carousel.  Come and enjoy the newly renovated science Playground.  Bring swimclothes, towel and sunscreen.   After the playdate you can head over to the small tot lot or over to the indoor Explorium for its exhibits.

Want a nice relaxing and fun way to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with visiting family?  Have kids home for a long holiday weekend and bored with the "let's go see a movie" routine?  Head to downtown Delray Beach for the 19th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Thanksgiving Weekend Art Festival.  NE 4th Ave in Downtown Delray Beach is the perfect spot for an incredible art festival. The show is located at the intersection of 4th Ave & Atlantic Ave in the heart of downtown.

The 33rd Annual Las Olas Art Fair is ranked as one of the top 100 art festivals in the nation and continues to be one of the most anticipated art events in the area! People come out yearly to see more than 150 artists display their work in what looks like a mini art gallery lined along the street. Meet the creators of the art on display; commission a specific piece; ask questions about techniques; learn the sources of their inspirations; and purchase fine works of art at affordable prices.

The city of Deerfield Beach would like to invite you and your family to their 6th Annual Country Music Festival from noon to night Saturday, April 15 2017.   The Country Music Festival will be held at the Main Beach Parking Lot.  Spend a day at the beach with the whole family while listening to a variety of country music entertainers from South Florida on two stages right on the beach.

On the third weekend of each month, passengers of all ages can ride the one-eighth-life-size trains. The fare is only $1.50 per person for all ages. Adults must accompany riders under the age of 10, and for the safety of their unborn child and our future riders expecting mothers are not allowed to ride. The railroad is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Have the best of both worlds!  Enjoy the snow and the awesome South Florida weather at the Piles of Smiles event in Sugar Sand Park, Boca Raton.  Bundle the kids up in thick jackets, gloves and scarves.  The City of Boca Raton will have SNOW for the kids to enjoy!  Make snowballs and snow angels or just marvel at the oddity.  New England can keep their weather but we'll borrow their snow for a few hours of fun.  Games and rides will also be available.

AVDA's 21st Annual Race for Hope is organized by Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc. (AVDA) during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. All proceeds will support AVDA's programs and services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
