Experience the culture and beauty of the Polynesian Islands right here in sunny South Florida at Jaco Pastorious Park in Oakland Park.  Enjoy hula performances, fire & knife dancers, delicious island dishes and a Kids Corner.  There will be a Ukelele exhibition as well as live Island Music.  The kids can keep busy at the Hula competition or making arts and crafts.  There is something for all members of the family at this cultural event.  The event will run from 12pm to 7pm.  Adults cost $10 to enter and children under 12 are FREE.

The South Beach Wine and Food Festival and Goya Foods host a family-friendly event at Jungle Island every year to spark a love of food and nutrition in young children.  Join your favorite chefs and culinary personalities for two fun-filled days of food, fitness and learning at Goya Foods' Fun and Fit as a Family featuring Kidz Kitchen at Jungle Island.

"RAIL - A Steampunk Journey," produced by Rivet Nation, will enchant participants with a day full of retro-futuristic festivities, entertainment, films, music, art, performances and more!  This event will take place at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in south Miami Dade county. 

It’s a fun-filled day of family friendly excitement.

Taste of Oakland Park will feature sample tastes from local restaurants, food companies, spirits, beer and wine companies. In addition to the grand tasting, the family friendly event will also feature live music, interactive games, and a craft-vendor shopping area. Admission $10 cash at the door. Children under 12 is free.



The 2017 Taste of Oakland Park will take place Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6-10pm at Jaco Pastorius Park. 4000 N Dixie Hwy; Oakland Park, Florida 33334.

In celebration of Black History Month, The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum will welcome everyone to the Spady living heritage festival (#SpadyLHF). The museum will bring cultural fun will take to the streets of Delray Beach. Live performances will fill the afternoon at the Spady Museum. February is a month dedicated to celebrating, recognizing and learning about the contributions of African-Americans to the development and prosperity of the United States.  

Deerfield Beach celebrates its roots with this three day festival that features a carnival, arts and crafts, food vendors, live entertainment and a Saturday parade which concludes with a grand fireworks show.

If you love the South Florida environment AND love to fish then the Zoo Miami Fishing Derby Days are the thing for you.  Zoo Miami will have 3 dates to choose from this year to fish and have fun at the Zoo.  The goal isn''t just to have fun but also to remove invasive fish species from their lakes.  This will help improve habitat quality and create more room for native fish and wildlife. Come out to Zoo Miami, enjoy some breakfast, and help clean their lakes.
