As we approach the 15th Anniversary of the attacks on America, the City of Coral Springs remains committed to honoring the victims and the families left behind.

This is a family friendly event. The city is encouraging groups to register as a team as team awards will be given.

7-Eleven couldn’t resist ending this Slurpee season and the year-long Slurpee Fiftee birthday celebration with one final surprise. So for two days ONLY, the can’t-miss Bring Your Own Cup (BYO Cup) event is back for the second time this year! From 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on both August 19 and 20, Slurpee fans across the country can bring a qualifying cup of their choice to participating 7-Eleven stores, and fill up with their favorite drink for just $1.50.

It's Wednesday and you want to spice things up a bit...or maybe just don't feel like cooking!  Come out to Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City  on the Third Wednesday of the Month, 5-9:30 p.m. There is plenty to do at this 175 acres park.  Bring your fishing rod and do some angling before the sun sets or let the kids bring their sakte gear to enjoy the skate park.  Playground and picnic areas make this a perfect spot for some evening recreation when the weather allows.

The Pavilion at Old School Square presents an outdoor concert experience for the entire family, Carols by Candlelight.

Enjoy a final weekend of summer break at the Back 2 School Weekend at Flamingo Gardens. Enjoy free pony rides from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. both days, special animal encounters, bounce houses, activities and games. Visit a variety of informational and craft vendors while DJ Digital Anarchy spins popular tunes. Explore creativity with crafts to make and take, or challenge friends to contests and games. Best of all it is a HALF-PRICE WEEKEND!

AHOY THERE MATEY! All pirates, swashbucklers, princesses and parents are invited to join us for a fun family event. Come walk the plank, dig for treasure and enjoy more fun activities at the Pirates Cove Playground at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, featuring a water play area. Argh! Shiver me timbers! 

Fun for children ages 2-5. 

The ladies of the Mommy Project will be hosting their 1st annual Back to School Bash on August 7th, 2016 from 2-7pm in conjunction with the "505" Teen Center in Delray Beach. All ages are welcome.  ***DATE CHANGED to August 13th***



They will have backpacks filled with school supplies, free haircuts for the 1st 200 kids and hairstyles, free food, cotton candy, snow cone, and popcorn machines, face painting, arts and crafts, bounce houses, video games, and a basketball tournament!

Head to Sweetwater’s IKEA Miami and discover the wonders behind electricity through a variety of “shocking” activities in our Watts-Up Electricity Demo! Experiments include a Van Der Graaf generator (be ready for your hair to stand on end!), and a Tesla coil that powers lights, LEDs, and other everyday objects. Shop. Eat. Learn.

The Orange Bowl Family Fun & Fit Day presented by Sunshine Health will take place at Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex on Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than 60 vendors will provide a variety of services and products including free health screenings, fitness classes, interactive demonstrations and essentials for children heading back to school.
