Jupiter Touch a Truck

What child doesn't dream about getting behind the wheel of a fire truck, an ambulance, a tractor, or a tow truck? Touch-A-Truck makes their wildest dreams come true! This family-friendly event allows children and their parents an opportunity to see, touch, and learn about a wide variety of vehicles and how they service our community.

Sistrunk Parade and Festival

Body

The Sistrunk Parade and Festival returns on Saturday, February 23.  The event kicks off with the 4th Annual Chris Smith All-Star Classic Sistrunk 5K at 7:00 am at Delevoe Park, located at 2520 Sistrunk Boulevard.  The Parade departs from Lincoln Park at 9:00 am and travels east down historic Sistrunk Boulevard to NW 9 Avenue featuring marching bands, step teams, classic cars, decorative floats, and more.

Seersucker Social

Seersucker Social: A 1920s Game Night at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is back again this year.  

Taking inspiration from the 1920s, when Vizcaya was James Deering's private home, the museum is hosting a game night in the gardens complete with lawn bowling, yard dice, croquet and more. Enjoy Deering-era cocktails and yummy bites while musicians liven up the atmosphere with some great jazz sounds.

 

Annual Butterfly Festival

Celebrate the City of Coconut Creek's 52nd Anniversary on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with a day full of fun, activities, music and food!

The 17th Annual Butterfly Festival will be held at Sabal Pines Park, located at 5005 NW 39 Avenue, Coconut Creek. Admission is FREE!

Chinese Lantern Festival

The Chinese Lantern Festival at the Boca Raton Sunset Cove Amphitheater brings brightly lit displays to Palm Beach County for all to enjoy.  This year’s theme is “The Wild”. Let the wonders of illuminating animals guide you as you travel through the lantern festival. As you travel through each location the animals change transporting guests to unique new experiences from throughout the world.

Annual Broward Water Matters Day

On Saturday, March 11, come celebrate at the 15th Annual Broward Water Matters Day event "Community. Climate. Connected!" from 9 AM to 3 PM at Tree Tops Park in Davie.   Water Matters Day is Broward County's signature water conservation event where residents can learn about our local and regional water resources, how water is managed, and how Broward's water managers are planning to meet our future water needs.

Egyptian Weekend

The Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale hosts the travelling exhibit "Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science" this Spring and will offer special weekends with additional Egypt-themed programming.  This travelling exhibit will be available from  Saturday, February 4, 2017 through Thursday, April 30, 2017 where families can unearth Ancient Egypt with hands-on experiences and real Egyptian artifacts.

Join IKEA at the Museum of Discovery & Science on select dates for  their IKEA Design Nation activities described below.  The activities will be on February 18 – 20, 2017 and April 22 & 23, 2017 from Noon to 4 p.m.

Locales Festival By Chef James

The first annual Locales Festival by Chef James is a one-day celebration of the Latin American community and Miami’s diverse culture, debuting in South Florida at Bayside Marketplace on Sunday, April 2, 2017! Hosted by Chef James Tahhan and produced by Premier Tourist and Landmark Association, the festival will also celebrate Bayside’s 30th birthday and shine the spotlight on community accomplishment through the Miami Bayside Foundation (MBF).

Annual Polynesian Cultural Festival

Experience the culture and beauty of the Polynesian Islands right here in sunny South Florida at Jaco Pastorious Park in Oakland Park.  Enjoy hula performances, fire & knife dancers, delicious island dishes and a Kids Corner.  There will be a Ukelele exhibition as well as live Island Music.  The kids can keep busy at the Hula competition or making arts and crafts.  There is something for all members of the family at this cultural event.  The event will run from 12pm to 7pm.  Adults cost $10 to enter and children under 12 are FREE.
