Gold Coast Railroad Museum
The Gold Coast Railroad Museum in southern Miami has several wood trainset layouts for visiting children to play with hands on! The layouts feature "Thomas" and other equipment, both free-wheeled and motorized. There is room for several children to play at once, and even seating areas for supervising adults. So bring the children for a fun and educational experience you can share with your family. The museum has freight cars, passenger cars, and locomotives to view on site.
The Girls Strawberry UPick
One of the most amazing things about the Girls U-pick is when you drive up to the location, it looks like just a modest store front in an old strip shopping center in western Delray Beach. You walk in thru the doors and see tons of yummy goods for sale from prepackaged jams, honey, candies, etc. to the bakery case and ice cream counters. Hung all about you are bits from the past that bring a warm nostalgic feel to the place. When you make your way out thru the store, pick up a basket and a pair of scissors to start picking.
Schoolhouse Children's Museum and Learning Center
At the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum in Boynton Beach, children experience South Florida history through two floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits that provide a glimpse of life for early Florida Pioneers. To build, create and, ultimately survive, early Florida settlers had to take advantage of the physical resources around them.
Sandoway Nature Center
