Fort Lauderdale's Museum of Discovery and Science is located in the heart of downtown off Las Olas and close to the picturesque Riverwalk area.  When you come to MODS you can easily plan to spend the entire day. With two floors and an entire new wing full of scientific exploration for the entire family as well as an IMAX theater and onsite restaurants (Subway & Auntie Anne's Pretzels), you'll have no reason to leave!  Parking for this attraction can be found on the surrounding streets' metered spots or at the adjacent parking garage.

Peanut Island was begun as a small 10 acres island that was a product of dredging done in the Intracoastal back in 1918.  Over the years, further dredging and deposits have grown the island to over 80 acres!  A recent project in Lake Worth to produce the new Snook Islands utilized fill from this island.  This island has a historic tie to John F. Kennedy from the time of the Cuban Missle Crisis.  His bunker, as well as a Maritime Museum, can be found on the island.

Lion Country Safari features a drive through safari, walk through safari, petting zoo, private tours, large splash park, wildlife feeding, mini golf, paddle boats, and amusement rides.  This site is also available for hosting events like birthday parties. Parking is for a fee.  Lion Country Safari participates in an area wide attractions pass in the summer.
