Big Pine Key Community Park (The Florida Keys)


A great park located in Big Pine Key, Florida, this place has all the amenities you would expect from a mega park. Boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking are just some of the available water sports available. There are some great eco-tours available for families from everywhere. Another one of Monroe County’s mega parks is Key Largo Community Park located in Key Largo, Florida. It is one place that is worth a lengthy visit. This place was built with families in mind. They offer a huge assortment of activities including playgrounds, ball fields, a skate park, tennis and volleyball courts, and is home to the Jacobs Aquatic Center. To the local families who visit often, this place is known as the JAC and it is a three pool complex with much to offer. There is an Olympic size pool with eight available lanes and the second pool is set up for water polo. There are several professionals on hand to ensure safety and proper techniques are met. There is also a large pool for the kids with a giant pirate ship, waterfall, water slides and water cannons that blast streams at water out over the pool. A wonderful place with so many activities designed for family fun.
