Princesses and Superheroes Day at the Boynton Beach Schoolhouse Children's Museum will give children a great chance to meet local heroes (firefighters, police, etc) and are encouraged to dress up as well!  Fairytale princesses and superheroes will be on hand for adorable photo opportunities.  Games and craft activities as well as photo booth fun will be an enjoyable way to get into the play.  Have your superhero make a cape or your princess make a crown.

Celebrate spring with the Easter-themed event Splash Eggcitement, scheduled from 9:30AM to 1:30PM on Saturday, April 4th, at the Splash Adventure water park at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach. The half-day event will feature games, a bounce house, face painting, photo opportunities with Peter Cottontail, an egg hunt, and splash time. Activities are for participants ages 10 and under, although all ages are welcome as spectators.

Saturday, April 9th, Earth Day at Tradewinds Park will offer a variety of family activities, including hayrides, vendor and educational booths, model steam train rides, bounce houses, farm tours and demos, refreshments, and more. Families with a green thumb or aspiring gardners can meet with Master Gardners for demos and lectures.  Join in on a natural history tour or nature hike, ogle classic cars in the car show, and fill your belly at the food trucks. This will be an Earth Day to remember and a great way to expose the kids to our Florida flora and dauna.

Always wondered what Daggerwing’s boardwalk would be like after dark? Join a nature center naturalist on a guided boardwalk tour at night to look for the shining eyes of nocturnal wildlife and listen for the calls of both predators and prey that use the darkness to their advantage. This program offers a new perspective on the wetlands surrounding Daggerwing Nature Center. Be sure to bring bug spray and a flashlight. Please make sure to call ahead to reserve your spot.

Visit Daggerwing Nature Center to celebrate Earth Day!  The theme is “Save the Planet-Save the Parks.”  By starting near home and in local parks, learn how to help make little differences that when added together can change the world. There will be guided nature walks, kid’s crafts, animal encounters and feedings, exhibitors, raffles, animal naming contest, and the popular ladybug release and much more. *Some optional activities may have a nominal fee.  Buy a ticket for a chance to win a BB-8 phone controlled robot!

Western Palm Beach County Farm Bureau hosts the annual Sweet Corn Fiesta in West Palm Beach at the Yesteryear Village, South Florida Fairgrounds.  This family-friendly event is filled with contests, rides, games and--of course--tons of sweet delicious corn! There will be lots of the world's best sweet corn, live music, kids games and rides, as well as many other yummy food and beverages. Devour kettle corn or Chicken on a stick or corndogs with your corn.

Family Fridays and Dive In Movie happens on the last Friday of the month from March – September at Grapeland Water Park in Miami. Grapeland Water Park will open at 5:30 pm for $5 Family Fridays. The slide pools are open until 7:30 p.m.

Canyon Amphitheater in west Boynton Beach is offering FREE family-friendly concerts for the community to enjoy.  Bring something to sit on, a picnic (or pick up to-go food from nearby restaurants), and maybe the kids swimwear.  Enjoy the sounds of the music while the kids play on the splash pad or run about on the large green.  Ample parking is available and restrooms are located in the rear of the amphitheater.  Come out when the sun is going down and the air is cool for some free family entertainment!
