Salute Veterans for Memorial Day

Harbourside Place, Jupiter’s premier waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment destination, is hosting its first annual Memorial Day celebration on May 24 to honor those who have served and continue to serve this country. All are welcome to attend the event, beginning at 12 pm, which includes family activities, a commemoration ceremony and free waterfront concert.

Palm Beach Gardens Memorial Day

The city of Palm Beach Gardens will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony on May 29th, at 9 a.m. in the Veteran's Plaza amphitheater outside city hall, 10500 N. Military Trail. The city will pay homage to the nation’s fallen service members, with fire-rescue and police honor guards, a Memorial Day address and wreath-laying.  Music will be provided by Young Singers of the Palm Beaches. This event is made possible from donated wreaths from Flower Kingdom.

Annual Forgotten Soldiers Outreach Memorial Day Service

The 12th Annual Forgotten Soldiers Outreach Memorial Day Service will be held at Palm Beach Memorial Cemetary in Lantana.  Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is a non-profit organization that ships care packages filled with donated items and letters to servicemen and women actively serving overseas.  The theme for 2017 is A Day to Remember: 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.  Speakers, Tributes, patriotic music and wreath ceremony will comprise the Memorial event.

Naval Air Station Memorial Day in the Keys

Naval Air Station Key West and area veterans will mark the nation’s Memorial Day at two ceremonies Monday morning.

At 9 a.m., the Navy League Key West Council will hold their annual ceremony at the Maine Memorial in the Key West City Cemetery.  NAS Key West Commanding Officer Capt. Steve McAlearney will be the guest speaker and the air station Honor Guard will render a 21-gun rifle salute.
