Tradewinds Train Rides

Body

On the third weekend of each month, passengers of all ages can ride the one-eighth-life-size trains. The fare is only $1.50 per person for all ages. Adults must accompany riders under the age of 10, and for the safety of their unborn child and our future riders expecting mothers are not allowed to ride. The railroad is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Strikes for Life Tournament

Body

Gift of Life is a bone marrow foundation that helps save lives by advocating for the donation of life-giving bone marrow.   The Strikes for Life Tournament will be held at Strikes bowling alley in Boca Raton.  Cash prizes, ranging from $60-$1000,  will be awarded to those coming in 1st-5th place!  There will be 3 squads taking place at 10, 12 and 2 during the day.  Registration begins at 9am.  Sign up online for a $60 donation/fee.

Piles of Smiles

Have the best of both worlds!  Enjoy the snow and the awesome South Florida weather at the Piles of Smiles event in Sugar Sand Park, Boca Raton.  Bundle the kids up in thick jackets, gloves and scarves.  The City of Boca Raton will have SNOW for the kids to enjoy!  Make snowballs and snow angels or just marvel at the oddity.  New England can keep their weather but we'll borrow their snow for a few hours of fun.  Games and rides will also be available.

AVDA Annual Race for Hope

AVDA's 21st Annual Race for Hope is organized by Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc. (AVDA) during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. All proceeds will support AVDA's programs and services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols:
Relax time-trial start from 7:30 AM - 7:45 AM
5 runners will start every 10 seconds
Masks to be worn at all times in the park except on race course
Maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others at the event
No race day packet pickup or registration

Delray Beach National Night Out

The Delray Beach Police Department is inviting residents to attend a neighborhood party to celebrate National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime.”  

It is fun, dynamic, family-friendly event, which is part of a national campaign to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. 

Boca Raton Art & Craft Festival

The 32nd Annual Art and Craft Festival will be located at the Town Center Mall in Downtown Boca Raton. The show will be located in the heart of Downtown Boca Raton among the best dining, shopping and entertainment the city has to offer. The Town Center Mall is located just one block west of I-95 and is renowned for its incredible ambiance, beautiful restaurants and upscale shopping. This is a family-friendly event and a great way to spend the day!  This event is sponsored by the City of Boca Raton and the Downtown Boca organization.

Annual Family Fun Day at Pompey Park

14th Annual Family Fun Day at Pompey Park in Delray Beach will happen just in time for the start of school.  Kids can come and get a FREE haircut, free school supplies and more!  Enjoy the Kid Zone and food trucks.  There will be performances by local community groups as well as DJ music throughout the event. Bring your swimsuit and visit the nearby Pompey Pool if things get too hot!

Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Delray Marketplace Family Fun Day

Head over to the Delray Marketplace for their Family Fun Day event on select Wednesdays this summer.  Families can enjoy a trackless train, water slides and more!  Be sure to stay for a movie or bowling under the ample air conditioning or pick up a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant.  Have errands to run?  Grab so school clothes for the kids or head over to Publix for tonight's dinner!  The event runs from 3pm to 6 pm and has different themes each time.
