Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach/Boca Raton area has bonsai, koi fish, bamboo forest, rock gardens and so much more. Lovely spot to stroll. Don't forget to stop at the Yamato-kan within the garden to see a fun interactive display about Japan. Enjoy tasty sushi and Japanese dishes at the cafe.
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden Huge garden with stunning Chihuly exhibit scattered throughout. Take a tram tour around and be sure to stop at the Butterfly conservatory with a large variety of butterflies from around the world. The Blue Morphos butterflies flitting about are almost as big as small birds! Orchids, bromeliads, succulents and so much more. Mother's Day weekend there will be an African Violet show as well as a brunch to enjoy.
Flamingo Gardens located in Davie, in western Broward county. This garden dates baack to the 1920s. Flamingo Gardens contains a botanical garden featuring over 3000 species of rare, exotic, tropical, subtropical, and native plants and trees. There are animal encounters and a narrated tram tour.
Butterfly World in Tradewinds park located in north Broward has hummingbirds, butterflies, parrots and much more. Enjoy the butterflies then buy some plants to take home to enjoy the butterflies when you get home!
