16 Can't Miss South Florida MEGA Parks
Tradewinds Park (Coconut Creek)
Where do you begin? There is so much to do at this North Broward park in Coconut Creek, Florida. This is one of Broward’s largest parks. It's so large it's split in two! On the south side of the park there is disc golf course, a fishing lake, athletic fields and Butterfly World which is famous around the world. On the north side there are horse stables which offer guided rides and pony rides. There is also an educational farm and steam train rides. The educational farm teaches many different farm related activities and always has something to offer all members of the family.
Vista View Park (Davie)
Another one of Broward County’s mega parks, the 272 acre Vista View Park, is located in Davie, Florida. There are eight large covered shelters perfect for family gatherings and picnics. There are several basketball courts, two playgrounds and a horse corral. The most unique thing about the park is the available landing strip designed for radio-controlled airplanes and glider planes. There are also camp sites for primitive camping and fishing docks. This is a place where a family could vacation for several days, or locals could visit over and over and not run out of fun things to do. If your child is a Florida flat-lander, he or she will especially enjoy all the hills at the park for rolling and running.
