505 Teen Center

Body

The 505 Teen Center and Hobbit Skate Park in Delray Beach was originally built in the 1950s to house the Women's Club (which still meets at the facility). It is now a wonderful place for Teens and Tweens to get together and have fun. Aside from the fun skate park, there is a recreation center that has foosball, table tennis, billiards, a recording studio, and much more.

Anchor Park

Body

Anchor Park is a beautiful park with playground, restrooms, outdoor showers, open play area, and picnic tables with barbecues. Lots of metered parking. This park is not well known except by a few locals and folks in the surrounding neighborhood. The beach is top-notch and guarded. Kids enjoy the semi-shaded play equipment.The "anchor" at Anchor Park is a little monument close to A1A. The Ocean Rescue Headquarters are on site.

Atlantic Dunes Park

Atlantic Dunes Park in Delray Beach is one of just a few public shorelines in town. Located well enough south of the busy Atlantic Avenue area of town, Atlantic Dunes tends to be a much quieter spot for sunbathing and enjoying the surf.  Parking for the beach is located on the west side of A1A and is metered. Across the street, a boardwalk takes you up past showers and restrooms to picnic areas and a pavilion.  The beach is guarded and also has "surf chairs" available for handicapped patrons who need access to the beach.

Barwick Park

Barwick Park in Delray Beach is a wonderful fixture in the local community.  Every morning you can find people out on the 1-1/4 mile heart trail or under the large pavillion doing an exercise class together.  Located right behind the Fire Department on the corner of Lake Ida Road and Barwick, kids can swing or frolick on the  two playgrounds while occaisionally getting to see the fire trucks at work.

Bexley Trail Community Park

Bexley Trail Community Park in Delray Beach is a 11.2 acre park with 4 picnic pavilions, playground, parking lot, nature/walking trail, bike rack, a large open field space, and barbecue grills. Pavilions can be rented for your event. Call contact number for further details. Special note: NO bathrooms!  The trail is a short mulched walk thru typical Florida fauna where gopher turtles, butterflies, snakes and birds can be spotted.

Carver Square Park

The Community Redevelopment Agency in 2009 was able to take this area of land to create this park in Delray Beach.  This community park has play equipment, some benches and bicycle parking.  Located close to Linton Blvd and east of I-95, this park is conveniently located to the food and shopping near Linton Blvd.

Catherine Strong Park

The park's main features are a splash park, playground and two full basketball courts along with large rental pavilions for family parties. The "Sports Field Pavilion" is located near the tennis courts, fitness trail, and sports field for soccer, flag football and volleyball. The "Splash Park Pavilion" is located near the splash park itself. Catherine Strong Park offers tennis, basketball and a fitness trail at a leisure level. For your meditative lunch pleasures, the park has an elegant shady ficus tree lined with benches along a walking path.

City Marina

The City's Marina in Delray Beach provides 24 rental slips for boats up to 55 feet in length on the Intracoastal waterway. Marina residents are provided with an air conditioned facility containing restrooms, showers, washer and dryer, an ice machine and an open sitting/reading room. A coin operated pump-out station is available for the convenience of marina residents and passing boaters on the Intracoastal waterway at a cost of $2.00 per 3 minutes. Boat owners are permitted to live aboard their boats. Electricity, water, telephone, and cable TV connections are provided at each slip.
