Salute to Independence

Join the City of Boynton Beach in a celebration of America's Independence. This FREE Event will have live music and activities for the kids starting at 6pm. Park at the City Hall parking lot or Boynton Beach High and take the free shuttle to the Intracoastal Park for the family fun.

Enjoy live music and family entertainment from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

The first band to perform will be the Dee Dee Wilde Band from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. You’re sure to enjoy one of the world’s most dynamic musical entertainers, Dee Dee Wilde, who can keep slow and sweet like Sade or sassy like Chaka. She has performed as a soloist on the LP’s of some notorious artists such as James Brown, Phyllis Hyman, INXS and Gerald Alston. Her group, which also includes two of her talented brothers who compliment her vocals with their own, is tight, versatile and entertaining for all audiences of all ages.

The second band is set to perform at 7:30 p.m. and again at 9:20 p.m. immediately following the fireworks (until 10:20 p.m.). On The Roxx(OTR) will take you on a rockin’ trip down memory lane as they play all the big hits and dance pop of the 80’s. Members of OTR have been performing together for over 15 years. OTR takes pride in putting on a quality show with top-notch sound quality to get the adrenaline pumping and the happy feet jumping!

At 8:45 p.m. the Boynton Beach Fire Department Honor Guard will do a patriotic salute followed by the National Anthem. The evening culminates in a spectacular, musically-choreographed fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. sharp.
