The first Lowe After Hours of the academic year kicks off on September 7 with a fun Games Night and a chance to visit the Walter Wick exhibition, Games, Gizmos, and Toys in the Attic, after hours. In October, enjoy Pop Art Prints and Michele Oka Doner: Into the Mysterium. Come mix, mingle, learn, and enjoy the galleries and refreshments (curtesy of Bacardi) with friends old and new. $12.50; free for Lowe members. And membership starts at just $40 for students!

Worlds of Wonder

Walter Wick, the children's book artist and author, will have his work on display at the Lowe Art Museum in Miami until Sept. 24, 2017.   “Walter Wick: Games, Gizmos, and Toys in the Attic”  is the first museum retrospective of Walter Wick, the award-winning author and photographic illustrator of Can You See What I See? and co-creator of the famed I Spy book series. 

Amazing Butterflies MAZE Exhibit

Amazing Butterflies at the Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale invites you to shrink down into the undergrowth to become one of the most extraordinary creatures on earth. Visitors will embark on a challenging journey teeming with friends and foes revealing the unusual relationship between caterpillars, butterflies and their natural surroundings. Adventure through the leaves, learn how to move like a caterpillar, discover an ant that reaps the reward of an unusual friendship, then transform into a butterfly and take flight!

Free Admission and Animal Encounters for Dads

Miami Seaquarium honors and celebrates Father’s Day by granting free admission to all dads the week of June 12-18, 2017. Bring a Father’s Day card to our marine animal dads’ sea lions Ace and Bud, and dolphin dads Indigo and Noel, and your dad will receive free admission to the park. In addition, up to four accompanying guests will receive 50% off admission!

Dino Island

Dino Island is returning to Miami Children’s Museum on June 17th and it’s unlike anything you have seen before!  At Dino Island robotic dinosaurs come to life to create a magical adventure for the entire family. Attend a Cretaceous Reunion in T-Rex’s Dinersaurus, play in a giant dinosaur nest with Mamasaurus’s babies, and ask questions from a creature who lived even before the time of the dinosaurs! Through guided tours, theater shows, and self-directed play, children will learn about ancestry, adaptation, extinction, evolution, and other unforgettable science!

Saturday Morning Art SMART

Making art is cool so come n for a creative treat once a month at Saturday Morning Art (SMART) at the Boca Museum of Art. This family program features studio workshops for families/intergenerational groups that focus on artistic family fun for all ages to learn, create, and enjoy the visual arts.

Marine Industry Day

Marine Industry Day is a family-oriented event aimed at celebrating the region’s marine industry through a variety of fun, interactive experiences. The event features live music, food trucks that serve a variety of foods, children’s activities, numerous marine-related activities, water taxi tours, educational games and much more.

The ACT Festival

The ACT (Activate-Celebrate-Transform) Festival is an art-centric multi-disciplinary event supported by a National Endowment of the Arts “Our Town” grant hosted by The Frank on Saturday, April 29 from Noon to 3 p.m. Visitors will be treated to an afternoon of unforgettable festivities, including interactive art and community engagement, tours of The Frank, live entertainment, caricature artists and much more!
