Midnight Sun Festival

The Annual Midnight Sun Festival celebrating Finnish culture will be held in Bryant Park in Lake Worth March 1 – 3, 2019.  The entire family can enjoy live music, a taste of some delicious Finnish food, and lots of fun!

There will be top musical performers from Finland as well as local bands, a wide variety of fabulous food from Finland as well as other countries, including freshly baked Finnish coffee bread, pastries and, of course, coffee and beer! There will even be a traditional Finnish Wife-Carrying Contest!

India Fest

The India Fest, in its 16th year, has become one of the premier events to occur in South Florida, with over 25,000 people attending every year. Hosted by the Palm Beach India Association, a non-profit organization, IndiaFest is driven each year to help enrich the community and serve the people. IndiaFEST is a free event that is held outdoors and is open to everyone. The festival will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at the Meyer Amphitheatre in beautiful downtown West Palm Beach.

DragonFest

DragonFest is Palm Beach Zoo's annual celebration of the Chinese New Year!  This year is the year of the Red Chicken.  Join in for great fun and great wishes for the new year!  We'll have a DJ, crafts, face painting, and the always amazing Dragon and Lion Dances by John Wai Kung Fu Academy along with a marial arts demonstration! Be sure to visit their resident modern day dragon...the Komodo dragon.  

Mad Hatters Tea Party

The Henry Flagler Museum will host a magical afternoon tea.  Families are invited to come dressed for Tea on Saturday, March 11th, 2017. The morning will begin with parents and children creating festive bonnets and top hats while learning the art of table etiquette. Sporting their fashionable masterpieces, parents and children will then enjoy a Gilded Age style tea in the Museum's Café des Beaux-Arts.

Shakespeare in the Park

The Barnacle Historic State Park in Miami will be host to this 3 Day Shakespeare in the Park performance from January 13th to the 15th at 8pm each night.  Bring a picnic and a blanket or a low lawn chair and enjoy a live performance in the park as Shakespeare Miami presents "The Merchant of Venice."

Participation Requirements

Gate opens one hour before show time.

Old Time Dance

Expose the kids to old fashioned dance moves by taking them to Old Time Dance at the Barnacle in Miami held once a month.  

Swing your partner, do-si-do, and promenade down to The Barnacle for an outdoor contra dance held under a covered pavilion by Biscayne Bay! These fun and friendly group dances are open to everyone and include a caller and a live acoustic band. The gates open at 6:00 p.m. Pre-dance instruction begins at 6:30 p.m., and dancing starts at 7:00 p.m. Picnics are welcome and snacks to share are encouraged.

The Barnacle Under Moonlight Concert Series

The "Barnacle under Moonlight" Concerts are the most popular events at The Barnacle. Come out for a concert, and you’ll see children playing next to the bay, friends and family sprawled out on the lawn with picnic baskets full of goodies, local musicians honoring the craft of songwriting, and neighbors just enjoying each others’ company. There really is not a better way to spend an evening in Coconut Grove.

MCM Season of the Arts

The Miami Children’s Museum (MCM) is proud to present “Season of the Arts,” every Saturday during the month of December from 11AM – 3PM.  The “Season of the Arts” series will introduce children and their families to a different form of art each week. The Museum has partnered with local artists and organizations such as, Xavier Cortada, New World Symphony, Florida Grand Opera and dancers from Miami City Ballet,in an effort to expose youth to the arts via this special programming during the holiday season.
