Peanut Island
Peanut Island was begun as a small 10 acres island that was a product of dredging done in the Intracoastal back in 1918. Over the years, further dredging and deposits have grown the island to over 80 acres! A recent project in Lake Worth to produce the new Snook Islands utilized fill from this island. This island has a historic tie to John F. Kennedy from the time of the Cuban Missle Crisis. His bunker, as well as a Maritime Museum, can be found on the island.
Loggerhead Marine Life Center
Loggerhead Marine Life Center is located in within a 70 acres beachfront county park of the same name. This Marine Life Center is a crucial place for education and preservation of sea turtles. The park features fishing, nature trails, guarded beach front, and playgrounds. The Marine Life Center is home to a sea turtle hospital and offers many educational opportunities. They host guided tours and even can be a birthday party venue.
South Florida Science Center and Aquarium
The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium contains 50 interactive exhibits, a digital planetarium, a Science Trail outdoors, miniature golf, multiple fresh & salt water aquariums, a stargazing observatory, natural history exhibits, and numerous educational programs. The center was recently renovated in 2013 and now includes a Subway and an aquarium. The South Florida Scence Center is a member of the ASTC and recognizes memberships for admission from participating science centers.
Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society
Palm Beach Zoo is a 23 acres attraction located in the northern end of Dreher Park just east of I-95. The Palm Beach Zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course
The Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course features a recently renovated 18 hole, par-70 golf course alongside the intracoastal. Come for golf or to enjoy eating in the R Bradley's Beach Club restaurant with views of the intracoastal. The greens fees are affordable and the course may not be overly challenging for budding golfers. On a nice day this scenic course is a pleasant way to spend the day and is very close to the wonderful Lake Worth beachfront. Memberships and golf lessons are available.
Fun Depot
Fun Depot is located in Lake Worth off I-95 and 10th Avenue North on the south side of the road. This child-centered attraction boasts batting cages, an arcade, laser tag and go carts. The second floor of Fun Depot features "The Mezz" which is an area for multiplayer video gaming. An obstacle course for children 6 and under is onsite for those too small to run with the big kids. The Cafe features the usual kid-friendly fare of pizza, snacks, and ice cream. Salads are available for the adults or health-conscious kids.
West Palm Beach Golf Course
West Palm Beach Golf Course is located just east of I-95 in southern West Palm Beach. In 2009 the course was restored by 10 time PGA Tour Champion Mark McCumber. The course features an 18-hole, par 71 championship Dick Wilson original designed course reaching 7002 yards and having five sets of tees. Tee times can be reserved online and by phone. Private lessons and clinics are available to either learn golf or improve your game. The course has it's own restaurant for repose after the game.
Lake Worth Casino Building and Beach Complex
The Lake Worth "Casino" has no gambling but is named after a historic casino that was on that location in the 1920s. The name pays homage to Lake Worth history. The newly renovated Lake Worth beachfront features a new playground with walking paths, a refurbished pier, restaurants, pavillions and a municipal pool. Restrooms and multiple showers make finding facilities easy. Kilwins chocolates, a pizza place and 2 locally popular restaurants (Benny's on the Beach & Mulligans) are all within walking distance.
Green Cay Wetlands
Green Cay Wetlands in western Boynton Beach is the perfect spot to view Florida native plants and animals. It is a photogrpahers dream and they come in droves to photograph some spectacular scenes. The boardwalk takes you from the nature center in a couple of different length loops. There are pavillions for seating and shade as well as a few canopy walks that are covered. The only restrooms and drinking fountains are at the nature center so be sure to take advantage of them before heading out, especially with little ones.
